So I'm repairing/replacing all the old RCA jacks on a Vintage "Project One" brand models "Mark 100" & "Mark 150"...It's a receiver and and equalizer...After starting this project I noticed another plug receptacle that looks like it could be upgraded, problem is I have no idea what it's called or even what it's for. On the back of the receiver, where the receptacle is located, it is labeled as "REC/MON"...but I have not been able to find anything with that title. I am providing a few pics...If anyone can offer some info on this type of plug, it will be greatly appreciated! THNX in Advance!

Re: ID Help on Vintage Stereo Plug Insert!
There is likely nothing wrong with the jacks and I doubt they would even be used (tape recorder with din plugs) but Digikey has them, pt# CP-1250-ND , manufacturer CUI Devices, SD-50SN
or SC2416-ND , manufacturer, Switchcraft, 57GB5FX
If it is just surface rust, try cleaning them.Last edited by R_J; 10-09-2019, 10:17 AM.Comment

by DrDosHello all. I'll try to keep this short. I have no knowledge of electronics. I can use a multimeter and am familiar with caps to some extent. I bought a Kenwood KR-6030 vintage stereo. It need work and so I thought I would recap the thing since I get power to the on switch but nothing else is working. No lights, no sound and so forth. I went to Mouser to order caps and I find I am way over my head. I not only do not know the type of capacitors I need but Mouser and digikey do not accept Kenwood part numbers. I have the info such as 220uF 63v and such but no place to put it. I could buy a recap...

by StephenMacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

by Per HanssonI have repaired a Sign WiFi Smart Plug with model number: SNSM-WASINGLE sold by Spares Nordic AB in Sweden.
The fault condition was that the device gave no signs of life: pressing the push button did not cycle the internal relay and the blue LED did not come on and it was not seen on the WiFi network.
The fault was very simple, capacitor C3 on the PCB with writing "KSJ" and "LOWESR" had literally blown its top off, after replacing it the device works fine again!
As I find linear high voltage regulator designs interesting I drew up the attached schematic... - Loading...
