you can coat the insides with nicotine all you want,
the only thing really effected is optical drives - i doubt a gaming rig even has a place for one!

That Seasonic power supply retails over $600!!! 12 year warranty. Are you working for the commies lol. Wow.
Cigarette smoke will not hurt it. Ashes, coffee, sandwhich crumbs will be bad for the mouse and keyboard though. I just dumped coffee in my CMStorm keyboard for the 10th time, pull power, take apart and put in the shower to rinse out and let it dry - it works fine.

I also find it comical that OP is more concerned about his PC than his own health from the cigarette smoke. Sure, all of that PC hardware is quite pricey now and probably worth a grand or three... but the cost of that will be nothing compared to the healthcare bills down the road 20-40 years from now. But whatever, I ain't here to preach how one should live their life.

The one thing that cigarette smoke will surely do to the PC hardware is devalue it more, since many people don't like the smell of old stuff from a smoker's house... of course, that's only if OP even considers selling the hardware down the road.

My take is, modern hardware doesn't seem to last too long, so probably that GTX4090 will be dead long before it's old enough to get coated in tar/dust (probably followed by the motherboard 2nd)... though a lot of that will also depend on how hard the GPU is pushed. "Coin mining" will surely bring it faster to its demise.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents worth.

        LOL, what a scam.
Yea it's a Seasonic PSU, alright... but I highly doubt there's anything in that PSU worth $600.
Then again, it's the same shit with the iPhone and the sheeple following it. I guess the gamer crowd ain't that different either.

            ^ Neither.
It's just going to make it stink bad after some years.
So if you try to sell it, some potential buyers might be turned off by the smell and not buy it.

What will surely quickly kill your graphics card is "mining" (be it Bitcoin or whatever other *coin).

I suppose that answer that question.

If you don't know what Bitcoin, Dogecoin, or any of the other cryptocurrencies are or if you aren't involved with any, then your GPU is safe, so to speak.
