Help - Auto starts after 1 minute of shutdown - Dell vegas/turis 15341-1
    by IamPritesh
I have two such machines which is having this issue. After shutdown the system starts on its own in a minute. It does not start immediately. It takes around 20-40 seconds before it starts again on its own. This is driving me crazy and not sure where to start ..
    Some very important points :
    • Laptop does not auto starts after shutdown if adapter is connected.
    • It will only auto start after shutdown if the laptop is in BATTERY only mode.
    • I have tried replacing batteries with a known
    • if I shutdown the laptop with adapter connected and lets say remove the adapter after 5-10

    Pioneer LX5090 - 2x Red blink after auto-shutdown
    by janos666
I was trying to reset the Pulse Meter and re-adjust the Panel-1/2 settings in the SM on an exceptionally old Pioneer LX5090 (51k power-on hours according to it's SM). I did this many times on much less aged specimens (with 10-20k hours) without issues. After following the usual workflow, I noticed the darkest gray shade showed up black with bright sparkles. I tried to adjust some other parameters but it didn't disappear. Then I went on and restored the old values of the parameters I don't usually touch (although I did this from memory, so I might have made an error). After that, I started going...

ASUS X75VD - 50 minute shutdown and abysmal SATA III performance
    by Dan81
Just as the title says, I have an ASUS X75VD-TY237H, MB model X75VD - soldered on i3-2370M + 4GB DDR3 RAM.

The laptop works almost fine except for two issues:

    1. It will shut down at exactly 50 minutes. Not a soft shutdown, but just like somebody pulled the plug on it (battery does hold charge). It just goes off, as if Intel's stupid HPET kicks in. The thing is, I very highly doubt the ME is at fault - if it was ME, it would shut down at exactly 30 minutes after power on - I've had a Samsung NP300E5C do this because its chipset (HM70 for Samsung) would not support...

Dell Latitude E5570 - No display, turns off after a minute of pressing the power button.
    by hoarderteks_kyriakos
    Hello.

Yesterday my mother encountered a problem with her laptop, which led to it not turning on and expressing the behaviour mentioned in the title (you press the power button and then it turns off after a minute)

    Here is what happened:
At one point i was fixing a setting on the laptop to make the laptop properly recognize the NVMe drive i put in months ago. All worked until all of a sudden the computer blue screened. The screen said it would reboot, but it never did. So she held down the power button, powering it off. Pressing it again, the screen briefly turned...
