Laptop will only start after cmos reset. TPS51125 does not generate 3/5 volt once you shutdown the system and try to turn it on again. Any pointers will be appreciated,

HP Pavilion 15-eg 1000 does not start.

Board Name : DA0G7HMB8H0
1- Do the latest boards have 13 volt as VIN instead of the usual 19 volt ? DC jack light glows fine. I also have 5 Volt on the board.
2- RT6316B ( 3.3 Volt chip ) , when I plugin the adapter, I do have 3.3 on the coil for first few seconds and then it drops to 0. There is NO PGOOD on the chip ever. IS that a sign of bad chip ?
P.S: Already tried flashing the BIOS.
Any insights on this will be really helpful

Thanks but this is version 6.4 and I have used it and the issue remains the same when CSM mode is made active , there is no display on screen. Does anyone have version 6.9 version or know the actual reason behind this. -

I tried that as well ..upon running the update "Pc not supported" . Toshiba is crazy. ( This is done with the help of external display since there is no display on the screen )...Leave a comment:

Toshiba Tecra OS issue
So I have a [B]Toshiba tecra R950[/B]. The issue is if you install fresh OS (UEFI) on fresh SSD it doesnt boot after successful install. Throws an error "insert system disk" . IF you install in MBR, it will ONLY boot to external display.There is no display on laptop screen. Tried several combinations, BIOS available here but no Luck yet. Has anyone faced something like this ? The current BIOS version in 6.6 on the system. On the toshiba website there the latest in 6.9 but I dont see any dump available with the latest version. Please enlighten me on this if anyone has a clue.So I have -

yes you are right. So what should be the output on PIN 4 of U8801 ? If understand it should be 5v when we have a higher voltage on PIN 1 as compared to Pin 3 . But the fact is PIN 1 has no volt at all. Resistance to ground on Pin 1 of U8801 is 0.586....Leave a comment:

R8824 = 99.6K ohms if unsoldered from the board
R8824 = 13K~24K ohms while it is soldered to board

Can you anyone explain what should be the ideal voltage for PROCHOT according to this schematic.
I have no voltage on AD_IINP.
On U8801 I have 5V on pin 5 and 0.537 volt on pin 3. No output voltage.
Currently board is not triggering at all.... -
DELL n5010 runpwrok issue
Hello friends and happy new year to all the lovely badcaps family.
Laptop N 5010 came with no display. Upon investigation found the PGOOD ( RUNPWROK) is missing . Now if I remove the +1.05V_VTT output COIL , the RUNPWROK is back at 3.3 volt.
Also +1.05V_VTT is not generated on TPS51218 (PU4901)
The readings on PU4901 is as follows with coil removed :
1 - 0V
2 - 0.8V
3 - 3.3V
4 - 0V
5 - 0V
6 - 0V
7 - 5V
8 - 0V
9 - 0V
10 - 5V
The impedance on the VTT coil is Good as well.
