Re: Yamaha HTR-5920 cracked schottky diode

its not the solder thats crappy its the glue they use on the traces, and the traces themselves, seemingly break without much force. I finally tracked it down. It was one capacitor joint on a broken trace (looked fine tested bad). I finally narrowed it down. boots now

thanks everyone for their input on the diode to replace

MBR3045CT and SR3045LCT Schottky diode testing help.
      by Baste
      Hello experts,
Can anyone educate me on how to test MBR3045CT and SR3045LCT Schottky diodes? I'm totally a newbie in electronics, so forgive me if I have cheap tools. In my effort to repair a Gigabyte PSU, I stumbled upon the two diodes, which I suspect are leaky. I tested this with my two cheap multimeters and the newly bought LCR-T4 MC328, and I got confusing results. Below are my test results.

      Aneng ST182 Meter.

Yamaha delay D1500, zener diode broken with no marking
      by debidoobs
      Hello,

im actually trying to save a d1500 delay from yamaha. I found the service manual but schematic is missing and BOM list is a bit unclear as components listed have no reference linked to the pcbs... In my case, one zener diode was broken (114 code on the pcb in attached file) and couldn't be repaired : it was a zener type package. In the BOM list i found 3 reference on this board : 1S555 (can be replaced by 1N4148), RD4.7EB2 (approx 5v rectifier), RD7.5EB3 (approx 7v rectifier)...

Actually the cathode goes to VCC of sram M5M5118P, without this diode missing, i have...

Corsair RM 750 blown schottky diode near ES1DF
      by iyas132
Hi there, i am currently diagnosing my corsair rm750 that wont turn on, after a power trip.

Before the power trip, previously i need to push power button on my pc case quite a bit in order to turn the pc (and power supply on), however after the power trip now i cannot turn the pc on at all and i opened the power supply, and found out some of the component(s) are blown. (picture attached)

My current diagnostic is that the (schottky) diode marked "SF" in the 5Vsb circuit are blown and possibly the ES1DF diode too.

Can anyone help me identify the component...

ESD Diode on HDMI output of Yamaha a1050 RCVR
      by budwich
I lost one of the two hdmi outputs on a yamaha rx-a1050 receiver. Of course, it is the hdmi1 which has the arc capability which was useful. The second output hdmi works OK.

I got an hdmi breakout board which gave me access to the "little guys" in the hdmi. I did some gross DC voltage measurements to ground and found that the Data1 pair (4 and 6) had a lower voltage than the working hdmi.... 1.1v versus 2.9. All others pins seem to be OK. Further when plugged into a display, there is no video but a message on the screen which I assume is the display's status for the...

      by asr
Hello, I am looking for help to replace a damaged diode. The tristar was replaced and a diode was damaged in the process. I have a picture of the diode but dont have an exact donor. I mostly have macbooks for donors and only a few ipad and iphone boards. Diode part number: DSF01S30SCAP
Im not sure where to find the ipad board number. Anybody have an idea where else this diode is used on other boards? Thanks....
