Re: denon mc6000 dj mixer blowing fuse

C792 (0.1 uF) is BEFORE the fuses so it does not matter if it is connected or not at this point.

"2.5 amp, 32v ac 63v dc" That is fine.
We need to see the pictures.
The switch is off, Q700 and Q701 are out and it is still blowing fuses it has to be error some where especially the fuse does not blow if INPUT filter cap C773 is not in place.
So as requested, the power supply is original? Pictures of the power supply? 12V 3A?

That doesn't make any sense to me either.

only way to make sense is if the cap is shorted . in wrong way . or power supply reversed or AC . or if fuse is 2.5ma

Re: denon mc6000 dj mixer blowing fuse

cheers pete, just saw this now, will do as you mentioned in the morning. I discovered that by simulating circuit for c773, I soldered the fuse f700 negative terminal straight onto positive for cap (avoiding board completely) and caps neg straight onto earth(board) and doesn't blow fuse, switch on or off... strange as c773 terminals on board are earth .5 ohms and positive terminal open loop. the power line to c773 is OL as well....

strangely with fuse f700 bypassing board and going straight through (removed) cap c773 to earth, the power line that f700 should feed is reading 2.6 v, though power has been isolated and should only flow through fuse and capacitor.... I tested power line for resistance between + & - board terminals of f700 with it disconnect and it is OL ..... is it possible I'm living in an electro-magnetic vortex? thanks!

Boy that does not making any sense, so you have the positive output of the power supply connected to one end of the fuse, another end of the fuse is connected to the Positive leg of the cap, the negative leg of the cap is then connected to the negative out put of the power supply, so the result should show 12vDC between the two legs of the cap.
When are we going to see the PICTURES?
At this point I would say measurement/operator error.

Bottom line, if you hook up the power supply + to the cap + leg through fuse, and the - of the power supply to the - leg of the cap then you should have 12VDC between the two legs of the cap, period!

check the output polarity of the power supply .

Hi, apologies for taking so long, my life is a bit of a whirlwind at the moment. I've attached some pics (terminal on positive c773 appears to be missing but still makes contact from backside, and was blowing fuses before I broke that). Just to double check polarity test 12.56dcv, and 26.2acv and with test leads reversed -12.54dcv and 0acv.

Also in regards to my test of fuse straight to capacitor to earth ( positive from pin 1 of f700) that is blowing the fuse now though it didn't seem to before. Thanks again, all suggestions appreciated!
