I have been running an Alpine Msp M1000 amp in my car for some time now. Just recently it gave up on me, It was turning on and receiving power but would not output power. I opened it up and found a broken transistor, the only problem is in removing it i broke the plastic and now have no idea of the rating of it. If someone with the same amp could help me out and let me know what the rating is i would greatly appreciate it. I also already called Alpine and they basically told me they had no idea of the internals and would have to pay 100+ to have it fixed.

Re: Car Audio Alpine MSP M1000 Amp
How about the pictures of the whole board? There should be another set of transistors with the same set up, but cannot tell until we can see the pictures to see what the function of that circuit is for.Last edited by budm; 06-19-2015, 03:04 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Car Audio Alpine MSP M1000 Amp
OK , those three Transistors seem to be setup for linear Voltage regulator circuits, exact regulated Voltage are, I do not know.
But since they are for regulator circuit, then we just need to find out if it is NPN or PNP transistor, that will require some circuit board tracing.Last edited by budm; 06-21-2015, 03:42 PM.Never stop learning

The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.
The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...2 Photos -
Hi
I have this Lantec PULSE 386 subwoofer I got a while back laying around awating repair for quite some time. Sadly it's missing it's original speakers which it came with.
After plugging in the mains, the LED on the volume controller lights up. When I plug in the 3.5" jack cable to my soundcard (confirmed to work), I get no audio on the subwoofer (nor the speaker jack at the back).
The PCB is quite simple. There is a UTC4558 amp and two D6282 audio amps. When I put my finger on the UTC4558 I can see and hear the speaker "fart". Although, the left...-

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

by i_am_patchHi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...

by silver60618Im working on a 2023 Macbook Pro M3 A2991, that had a liquid spill, has no sound. Corrosion found near Speaker Audio Amp IC. Chip ID SN012776B0,
I did find a SN012776B0 on A2442 model, but the sub and replaced it, no go. Anyone know if these audio amp IC's are cross compatible between 2021-2023 models?... - Loading...
