      that's not a part number of a chip, that's somebody's order-code for spares.

        Except it's right on the chip.

        But the number is wrong as at home I was getting hits to purchase it from China but no datasheet to be found and I'm not at home atm...

        I should have taken a pic because there was another number underneath which may be more pertinent. Will check it out in the morning.

          Ok I can close this one out. I had the battery backup working with a used up 9v (about 7.6v) but realized this solution seemed messy and inelegant against simply replacing the part.

          Thanks for identifying the part and the help with the circuit.
