Hello,
I have an old Logitech X-240 that I do not really want to get rid of, but it has a ton of static coming out of the Right Channel when idle. It can be drowned out when there is music playing through it, but I had a problem where the static was too much that the music could not be heard through the right at all.
I am not sure what type of components to check, as all of the resistors, capacitors and the fuses look solid. Would it be the audio chip, or the odd black chip that looks like a 555 timer that is at fault?
Any ideas?
