• Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

See attached. See Dropbox link for High Res: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33194569/DSC_0322.JPG

I can confirm that the resistance between the GND and O pins on U10 is almost 0 ohms, and they seem connected.

For U10, the big tab (cathode) and the GND and O pins (Anode) gave me a diode value of 0.343 and 0.324.Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On<br /...0322.JPG...

So here is what I have (post #28 has mismatched values):

    U8
    P/N: 540N 05S5G
    Middle Pin (Input) = 18.91 V
    Right Pin (Output) = 0.00 V

    U10
    P/N: SM260F 10100DF1
    Middle Pin (Input) = 0.23 V
    Right Pin (Output) = fluctuates between 0.01 V and 0.09 V

    High RES: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33194569/20141228_132020.jpg

I was thinking about that and it seems likely.Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On...

Are you sure that the pins you have listed are not reversed? The right pins have a small "O" next to them and I thought that it meant output.
    Okay here are my results:

    U8
    Middle Pin (Output) = 0.23 V
    Right Pin (Input) = fluctuates between 0.01 V and 0.09 V

    U10
    Middle Pin (Output) = 18.91 V
    Right Pin (Input) = 0.00 V

That seems reversed to me from what you said, but it looks like they are both bad? Your help is much appreciated....

It leads to a resistor and then it leads to U8 which is the one that was stated to be bad in one of the forums posted by budm. (#1 I think?)

I traced the ground of U10 and it looks like it leads to an electrolytic capacitor (CE36)? I am not 100% sure of what I am looking at. Here is a "clearer" image of the board quadrant I was looking at: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33194569/20141228_093410.jpgRe: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On<br /... then it leads...

I found all of those threads and I read them all before hand.

The first one would turn on and mine will not. Also I got confused when XmouseX stated 405 regulator in post #44, but then I understand it to be 540. It was also not stated that he found a replacement, and then the rest was related to the LED strips which I quoted in post #1 of this thread.

Do you know if there was a replacement to the regulator 540N budm?

The second one addresses the same problem, and I PM'ed...

  • Logitech X-240 Static in Right Channel

    Hello,

I have an old Logitech X-240 that I do not really want to get rid of, but it has a ton of static coming out of the Right Channel when idle. It can be drowned out when there is music playing through it, but I had a problem where the static was too much that the music could not be heard through the right at all.

I am not sure what type of components to check, as all of the resistors, capacitors and the fuses look solid. Would it be the audio chip, or the odd black chip that looks like a 555 timer that is at fault?

    Any ideas?

I checked all of the LEDs in diode mode and they all lit up with my multimeter.

Okay, so I measured the voltage regulators and what was labeled as U10 did not look like U9. See image:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33194569/Circuit.jpg

    -U9 to carry about .25V
-U10 to carry nothing, based on the pins I measured.
-U8 carried 18.5 VRe: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On<br /...lit up with my...

I do not see any voltages. The power supply is external serving 19V to the main board, and then the connection to a longer one that exists near the actual LCD has a ribbon cable, but no voltages that I can see.

Pin numbers, and that is about it, aside from a voltage on the IR receiver sensor board....

Does that mean that I am kind of out of luck? The only similar model I know of is the M260....

I tried plugging the TV back in again, and after that whole cycle with the main power lights, I heard a barely audible click, and then the lights turned back on and did another cycle. Could that just be the TV being re-energized, or possibly a source of the issue?

I checked the fuses I could find, and they all seemed okay. The main power light in the front lights up, and then blinks about thirty times, and then stays on for a few seconds but then cuts out. It then turns on and does the same thing again. No other lights blink or turn on.

Also, one of the fuses I found said F9, and then there was F8 and F1. Does that mean that there is another 6 fuses that I have not found?...

  • Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

Hi, guys. I have a problem with my Vizio LED TV, model: M261VP

Currently the TV will attempt to power on and the power light blinks white for ~30 seconds, and then the light turns on for a few seconds and then the TV powers off. Nothing appears on the screen and the backlight does not turn on either. No sound is audible.

I found this, but I do not know where that capacitor is. All of the capacitors seem solid, and not bulging. If it is a tiny one, where to find a replacement:

I thought that the issue might just be the LED panel had gone bad, as noted...

  • Re: Asus M3A79-T Deluxe Capacitor Replacement

Thanks mariushm! That is of great help. So if I were to install this capacitor would I run into any major problems with the multi-layered copper of the motherboard?

  • Asus M3A79-T Deluxe Capacitor Replacement

Hey guys. I just recovered a motherboard which I am not completely sure works, but I noticed has a capacitor missing. It is located near the PCI slots, and from the images I have gathered online it seems to have the same printing like some of those around it.

    It has this:
Some obscure F in between two lines
    89He
    101
    16

I am kind of lost and any help in the direction of where to find a replacement, or what to buy would be greatly appreciated. I hope to recover this board since it seems...
