Onkyo TX-NR809 – no hdmi, DTS or NAND chip ? stuck at starting kernel

    Hello,
i want to repair an Onkyo TX-NR809 receiver.

    symptoms:
on power on, display appears and i hear one click. enue functions is given.
    - no hdmi output
    - audio output not tested, but i think it is not there
    - usb sticks are not recognized

if i read out the chips with display+standby button + tone+
    both dts show only ????

    chip is D830K013BZKB4

    things i have done:
    - reflow of the dts chip without taking off and reballing
    - changed the aluminium caps without the big one with 25v because i dont have a spare part here

    measured some voltages:
    die 1,1V - 1,8V - 3,3V and 5,2V are available
    usb port is dead
the usb power chip gets the 5.2V but no voltage on the enable pin

i connected via serial to the hdmi board and get the following.
las message is starting kernel and then nothing happens.
maybe there is a nand problem ? oder its the dts chip or both ?
or is there another problem which stops the booting process

nand bad block with an RT809H, didn't boot
    by Formaster
    Hello guys

I did a dump from a MX30LF4G28AD@TSOP48 nand with an RT809H. If I flash back the firmware, the auto verify show everithing ok, but if click on Verify button there is a lot of inconsistence bytes.

I did a bad block check and found it few. However I use any bad block management algorithm, after flashing the verify show the same inconsistences.

The device didn't boot up. What I did wrong? Thank's in advance!...

PS5 EDM-031 - Pulsing BLOD - SSD NAND chips never heat up
    by mattpd
PS5 died in the middle of a game and never would boot again. Pulsing BLOD stays on forever but never boots.

No LM damage. UART gives a generic "APU not responding" error.

Under thermal camera, the SSD NAND chips stay stone cold. The controller warms, but not the NAND. I have a good 2.5v and 1.8v around the NANDs...

I don't have a ton of PS5 experience, but I assume that the NAND would need to warm at least a little bit in order to boot...

So to those with experience, would you expect at least a little heat from the NAND during...

    TV Model: Hitachi 40HYC42
    Power Supply: 17IPS71
    MainBoard: 17MB95M
    Panel: VES400UNDS-2D-NO3

When the set came in it was dead. Fuse was open primary side and the power mosfet was shorted. So I ordered a new power supply. Now it turns on, only displays "Hitachi" and then power off red and blue led flashing.

I had to modify the 0ohm resistors in the led backlight of the new PS like the original power supply.
Is there any variants on 17IPS71 power supply's?

Macbook Pro 2019 A2141 NAND Shorted
    by tech_guru
Hello. If you could please help me understand what I am doing wrong...

This model, Macbook Pro 2019 16" A2141, 512GB, EMC 3347, with T2 Security Chip, had 4 NAND Chips shorted in 1 wing (U9100, U9200, U9300, U9400) and it has 1 more in the 2nd wing (U8600) BUT NOT shorted. All chips are TSB4227 TOSHIBA-KIOXIA SN4192TWNA12014 BGA110 128GB. I got 4 new nand chips for 1 wing and programmed them by specific position of course with JCID P13 programmer.

I also replaced the tps power ic for the ssd.
Now all rails come up, including the ssd rails 0.9v, 1.8v, 2.5v....
