The electrolytic ones are Samyoung, which I know they are not good brands, at least in TVs.
Should I replace them just in case?
I wouldnt bother replacing capacitors at this stage. Is the transistor turning on?

There is also a zener diode D303 which looks like a 7.5V zener diode. There it shouldn't be a 7.5V at the relay?
On one side of the R319(transistor side) I'm measuring 0.73V and at the other side 3.3V while I'm resetting the receiver.
The 10.5v will only turn on the relay if the bottom end of the coil is grounded by the transistor. The 0.73v at the Base indicates that the transistor is being turned on.
Have you checked under the PCB for problems?
The zenner is there to limit the voltage across the coil to about 7.5v.

At pin #37 of the CPU.
I haven't tried measuring at R319 while I reset the receiver. I will do that today.

Where did you measure this exactly?

It seems that STBY_RLY is getting to the FRONT ASSY. From there its supposed to leave from CP701 to the STBY ASSY.

Not sure where is that P128?
    R319 is at pin #55.

Does the 3.11v get to R319 on P128?

Maybe some kind of protection is on, but how we can find out which one is tripping the shut down?
I will look again at the amp section.
The standy light shouldn't be on no matter what ? The CPU controls the standy also.
The standby should be on as I plug in the receiver. Even this basic function is controlled by the CPU?

You need to figure out why the relay isnt being turned on in those seconds.

Do you suspect the CPU to have an issue and that is why is not booting up the main transformer?
I have found a 822-k on Ebay which has some missing components for very cheap. In the SM, it is mentioned that the CPU boards in these three units are the same, only the part number is different.(VSX-42, VSX-1022k, VSX-822-k)

"7028071681030-IL, 7028071681050-IL and 7028071681010-IL are different in part number,
they consist of the same components."

Maybe I should measure then the voltage at the STBY_RLY.
I'm looking at the service manual at the diagnostic charts(page #32) and there it mentions that at the connector CN9501(12V for the HDMI board) is not there, then check the cable between the HDMI board and main board. If that checks out OK then check the main board. Why the main board and not the CPU?
I think the fault charts assume the receiver has turned on but doesnt actually say so.
If a rail originates from the large mains transformer, there cant be any voltage while the receiver is stuck in standby.
Yes, check STBY_RLY while the LED is on,

The reset pin should momentarily pulse low or be momentarily held low when the mains is first applied. Its only function is to cause the micro to start executing code cleanly.
Im still puzzled how the MCACC LED can light up without STBY_RLY pulsing high.

I have checked the schematic many times. For the MCACC LED to light up, STBY_RLY must be going high.
Can someone else confirm this also?

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On...

Harman Kardon AVR 171S - standby led lights up, does not turn on
    by madsox
    Greetings!

Thank you in advance for your understanding, I am writing to you through a translator.

A Harman Kardon AVR171S amplifier was given.

The history of the machine is as follows:
It was faulty when I bought it, I want to fix it.
I replaced the HDMI switch and one of the DAC ICs in it.
After that it worked without a problem.

I watched a movie using the amplifier, and at the end the amplifier got really hot.
The cooling was faulty, I will fix this later.
I switched it to standby mode, waited for...

    Pioneer VSX-44 receiver HDMI dropouts
    by RatherLoopy
I have an older Pioneer receiver (VSX-44) that's been dropping the HDMI output (black screen) for a few seconds every few minutes. Setup is HTPC -> Pioneer DVD HCMI in -> Pioneer HDMI out -> Samsung TV HDMI in, all with cheap HDMI cables that have never caused trouble before..

I initially found a lot of play in the receiver's HDMI inputs and output so I kind of squeezed them back into shape and they're making a tighter connection, but the problem persists.

And also, often, the HDMI will drop out in exactly the same way (black screen) just as my central air...

Lenovo Y700-17ISK turn on and off
    by pajdek
Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

Samsung LN32B540 - won’t turn on but gets standby power
    by Doodle43
My Samsung LN32B540 never turned back on after I had to turn off the power at the mains at house. It won't turn on, but the red standby led lights up when it is plugged in. If I hold down the power on the remote, the standby light turns off which I think means it is trying to turn on, but there's no sound or backlight. If I try to turn it on/off from the power button on the TV instead, it doesn't do anything at all.

It was plugged into a surge suppressor and was off (on standby) when I turned off the power,, so I don't know if it got a power surge or was on its way out anyway. I...
