OK, so I resoldered the board and also got a second, used board, that supposedly was tested to be OK. With neither board does the control panel come on. The light in the drum is one so it is getting some power. Any thoughts as to where to go next? If this isn't a good source for support can anyone suggest a better source for support?

I may have missed it but I didn't see anywhere where you actually tested the relay to see if it still works and that the contacts are not burnt or gone high-resistance.
If the burnt trace was caused by burnt contacts in the relay, leading to excess heating of the contacts, and thus burning of the PCB as well, then you still have a problem.
Heating the relay to soldering temperature while doing the trace repair may have finished the relay off, if it was already damaged."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Does the drum lamp go out when you close the door? check for 120vac on T1 transformer primary (you can check across V1 mov), Do you have any DC voltage across the large capacitor CG0? (The cap near BZ1)OK, so I resoldered the board and also got a second, used board, that supposedly was tested to be OK. With neither board does the control panel come on. If neither board works, then there is likely something else wrong in the wiring, broken wire, bad plug etc.Last edited by R_J; Yesterday, 07:45 PM.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by YanlebHi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.
The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.
But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.
All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:

by Joe24Patient is a Maytag/Whirlpool/Kenmore clothes dryer. Not sure of exact model, doesn't matter. All boards are out of production.
Specific problem is a Maytag 8544799 / WP8544799 motor-control board, aka Diehl Controls 708879-05. Customer states the board "doesn't work, motor doesn't run". Not sure how the repairman made that assessment, or if it's even accurate. He can't get replacement boards, and the owner decided to buy a new dryer, so whether this board is the problem is speculation on his part. Again, doesn't matter.

by notallbadAnyone able to help diagnose the fault with this board please.
Hopefully photos are clear enough to give me direction on what readings to take and where.
All ancillary components of the dryer have been tested and work i.e heating element, thermostats, sensors, motor, door switch, wiring harness.
So theres 230v at the control board but no life whatsoever with or without the ancillaries connected.
The on/off/timer dial contacts are clean and make good contact. All the through hole mounted components appear to be good i.e diodes, resistors,... - Loading...
