Re: what is this ic ?
An ARM microcontroller.Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....
"Dude, this is Wyoming, i hopped on and sent 'er. No fucking around." -- Me
Excuse me while i do something dangerous
You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.
Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

Re: what is this ic ?
^ Its what they use in those VAG-COM adapters. They use stm32 microcontrollers though, so im assuming its a chinese clone. As for the IC, IIRC, its a LPC82 clone.Last edited by goontron; 09-12-2018, 06:37 PM.Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

This is the zombie UN55NU6900F I wrote about in this original post.
It originally was completely dead with no standby voltage. After some poking around, I found the solder at RM819 (see pictures) failed. I removed it from the board, it tested fine, resoldered it, and now the TV works.
The expected standby voltage at the reference pin is specified to be 11.8V but it's reading 12.8V. Couple questions:
1. What could cause the standby voltage to be 1V higher than expected
2. Is this a problem
3. Could it have led to the failure at RM819, or was that... -
TE Circuit Protection offers the widest selection of surface-mount fuses available for addressing a broad range of overcurrent protection applications. Helping to prevent costly damage and promote a safe environment for electronic and electrical equipment, our single-use chip fuses provide performance stability to support applications with current ratings from .5A up to 20A.
TE Circuit Protection also offers the telecom FT600 fuse for telecommunications applications. This telecom fuse helps comply with North American overcurrent protection requirements, including Telcordia, GR-1089,...-

by orgamishoHello, I have a device which uses 3 7segment displays (4 digits each) controlled by a single led driver (TM1629A) which is controller by a microcontroller (MS51FB9AE).
I want to capture the communication between the 2 ICs, so I can decode it and read it from PC with USB cable.
The problem is that this task is slightly over my skills and I have no experience is such tasks.
I would be grateful if somebody give a hint how can I read and decode the digital signals or share a source where I can educate myself on this matter.
I have no idea what protocol is... -
by Revo2MaxxSo have a camera that came with CEEN firmware and when trying to add in USA Firmware the camera is now bricked.. I have looked at the SoC in the camera housing. It has a few and they were not related to the camera it self so I removed the camera module, wanted to see if it was setup like some of the other cameras that I have repaired in the past. This PCB don't have any clear USB or Reset pads, Connecting a USB to Serial I get very little data and shows that it is FW dead.. I can't stop UBoot I have even tried a script that has some expected key strokes and this also fails.. At first I thought...

by GrouickmanHi there,
First, I'm not sure it's the right section to post for this type of device, but could not think of something better.
Ok, so my son (a mechanic) bought a faulty Hofmann Geodyna 6300 wheel balancer (which appears to be mostly a re-branded Snap-on wheel balancer).
I'm looking for any resources (doc, manuals, schematics) that would be available for this device or anyone that would have any knowledge on this particular device (or its Snap-On equivalent).
I'm trying to diagnose the fault(s ?), but I can't find any schematic (appart from the... - Loading...
