power supply only marked in amps.

I have a Triumph Adler branded power supply I have just had to replace the rf filter caps in. I thought it went with a old Triumph Adler laptop I also have but the psu has no voltage stated on it only the amperage, This makes me think that they are not related as the voltage output is 35v which is 15v too high. Will the voltage drop when its plugged into the laptop and put under load or is this power supply for something else?

Replace the optocoupler and the chip containing the voltage reference. Should be fine then.

I am curious as what the DCV rating of those two output filter caps are.

not sure but here are some pics of the filter caps I replaced. The small one blew in a cloud of smoke and boy did it smell foul... Still cant get rid of the smell from my workshop now a week later Pooooo..
I replaced they both because its a certain the larger one was probably next to blow.

Those are are filter EMI filer caps in the primary side, it should have cause the main AC fuse to blow.
But how about the DC filter lytics caps in the cold side, are they rated at 50V or more?
