It is more like assembled in USA with some local and imported parts, PCBAs, not designed locally by engineer. If you look at most Samsung and other brands of TVs, they will have assembled in MEXICO.
Same for TOYOTA, NISSAN, etc. they have assembly plants in the US.

I am not worried. Japaneses/Koreans have been assembling cars in the US for years and you do not hear much about the Japanese workers complain about loosing job to the US workers.

1986 I saw first analog HD TV at Tokyo subway station which was made by NHK, 20 years later We have our HD TV. ( All U.S. full-power analog TV broadcasts were required by law to end on June 12, 2009.)and the invention of the television is by USA.
