    Help Needed Identifying Component

Hi guys. Hoping someone might be able to help. I have a small surface mounted chip that I need to replace. It is marked AK17P 240H5, and it looks like this: http://www.ic995.com/images/product_...ges/1762_1.jpg

As you can probably tell I'm no expert, so usually in cases like this I just Google what it says on the chip, find a replacement and fit it. However in this case results seem to be vague and I'm struggling to find an exact match.

If anyone can link me to a replacement, or suitable substitute, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How did you verify that it is bad? Is there another chip with the same marking that you compare the test results?

      It's physically burnt.

I would at the board and see if it has the same component so so can at least find out if it is Transistor, or Diode, ?? using the DMM.
According to the chart, it is supposed to be BCY59-x, BC107.

          Re: Help Needed Identifying Component

I'm thinking it might be a voltage regulator. It appears that the middle pin and the large tab on the opposite side are connected if that helps.

OK I've found the datasheet, but struggling to find the identical component for sale. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction?

There are numerous versions of the 1117 adjustable LDO, eg LD1117, AMS1117, AP1117, APL1117 ...

According to the datasheet I found, it's a AIC1117 (search it for AK17P).

                  Re: Help Needed Identifying Component

Can we see the picture of the board where this part is located so we can tell if it is one of those 1117 LDO regulator IC or not? We can also tell if it is fixed or adjustable type or not.
If it for sure an AK17P, then it is adjustable regulator.
These are what I stock for repair works. There are many 1117 series LDO on Digikey website that you can use.

Dewalt DCR020 Power Board – No Power, Need Help Identifying ICs / Possible Replacement
                    by snipersquad100
                    Hi all,

I’m working on a Dewalt DCR020 jobsite radio that won’t power on.
So far, I’ve checked the following:
                    • The mains is reaching the transformer
                    • Transformer outputs ~15-20 V AC
                    • Bridge rectifier outputs ~15-20 V DC
                    • All fuses test OK
                    • The on/off button signal reaches the PCB connector

Despite this, the unit does not power up at all.

Inside, I’ve identified some of the ICs:
                    • ST7317 (appears to be an LCD driver, not the main MCU)
                    • LM2937L (voltage regulator)Not putting out power, 0.5V on the input
                    • Markings like FS1235, unknown IC
                    • Board number:
                    ...

Help identifying a chip for Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7 - schematics needed
                    by trepachka
I have this Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7 notebook that is not booting properly. All voltages are there: 5v, 3.3v, 1.8v but it's still a no-go.

I spotted this IC chip with markings "6611c" on it. The coil near this chip measures around 200 Ohms which I think is too low. But without the schematics, it's just a guess.

I wonder if someone has the schematics for this board or perhaps, can help me identify this particular ship. Thanks....

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 Needed help with identifying charging IC
                    by sofles
                    Hi there,

Recently I bought broken Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2, the problem with them is that battery discharges on its own even with headphones turned off. It is a quite common issue with this model and even with model higher PX8.

With help of thermal camera I found out that there is one IC that is hot even with headphones turned off. To check if I'm correct I bought another PX7 S2 working one and replaced small charging board with this IC and problem solved, battery no more drains on its own. After changing board back to original problem returned so I'm 100% sure problem...

                    Hi All

Had tried using google lens but not much info was provided.
Appreciate if you can help identify this component.

                    IC Seems to be SOT-23.

                    Thank You...
