Help, with fence energizer, I got 2 hrs left!

Been a long time since I've been here, and I sure wish I still had the leisure time
I used to have back then, lol
Anyway I just have a quick question that I hope somebody can help me with. Below is a picture of the circuit board from an Electric fence energizer. The burn spot had, at one time, the oblong white piece that's just sitting above the two black wires to the right, it is blank with no markings or numbers at all. I gotta get this thing fixed before dark or my horses and 2 cows are gonna figure out its not on and mutiny will likely ensue!
If In got to replace it , I need to know with what.
    It is a "SS-1000 Super-Shock" made by "Fi-Shock inc."

This is the back of the board

    Thank you, Pesti

is it by any chance the resistor floating on top of the transformer?

All I can find is another picture of the same 311-316 Printed Circuit Board for SS-1000, SS-4000 & SACOXX fence charger.
The part would not have cooked unless another part, like the SCR/diode/cap is shorted.

It looks like a resistor, and there is another, so my guess is 180R 5W as part of a pair. Why is there a loose resistor on top of the transformer?

I put that there, Thats the part that burned off the board, but it has no markings at all. Is there anyway to fix this?

did you measure the resistance of the loose resistor?

We're stuck unless we know the resistor's value.
It may have burned up because of another part shorting, or you have a cooked cow somewhere... I would test the other parts.

Emailed Fi-Shock about a new board, will let you know if they write back.

You should check to see the resistance between Anode and the Cathode of the SCR.

More likely to be 180 Ohms.

I couldn't get a reading so I assumed there was no resistance. Sorry for my late reply, I'm
suffering the effects of a dodgy DSL connection now that I've moved to the very rural reaches of Maryland. Snow, rain and bad winds have a very negative effect on Verizons ability to keep me connected and the past few days we've had a lot of the latter two.
My friend up the road brought me a solar energizer so thankfully I don't have to keep beating my head over this problem. I want to thank all of you that tried to help me out,
I really do appreciate it. I love this forum!

Here is the response from manufacturer. I think they discontinued the 311-316 board because it's a fire hazard, to burn up like that. Too cheap to fuse it.

I don't think it's going to present much of a fire risk out in a paddock.
