I am having trouble figuring out what these SMDs are. I'm pretty sure they're polyfuses, but I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

Re: Polyfuse question
They look like regular SMD fuse, see PDF for example. Do they test out as open circuit?
If they are PTC then they may be like this:

Hello,I need help figuring out the resistance of this exploded resistor. I'm pretty sure it's the one labeled R37. I tried measuring it with a multimeter, but I got different values each time, probably because it's exploded. If you have a schematic, it would be really helpful!

by supravit2000Hi!
A friend of mine gave me a dead PS5 to look at. I am totally inexperienced, but when a damage is simple (i.e. failed DAP41 on PS4s, etc.), when replacing just the IC and the other very common failing parts of these consoles, problem is fixed. So I checked the voltage of the PSU - none was present. Model is ADP 400DR. I have a bunch of spare parts around, so first thing I did was to replace the IC DAP 053 (they seem quite expensive, so I put a replacement unit - TEA2016AAT. When plugged to the power outlet, 12V did come present.
So I reassembled the PS5 and pressed the power...1 Photo -
by kalemaroniHas anybody tested this product? Posting this question on a Facebook tech group I'm in got a few responses like "that kind of thing corrodes the tips" and "just using normal solder paste is much better" so I'm not looking for generic responses like that, but rather, does anybody know for certain whether this exact product is good or bad for soldering iron tips?

I've just been repairing some (very) old speakers with a loud hum that occurred as soon as you powered them on regardless if any actual audio is played through them. I work in a School so it's 99% likey that the Teachers have hardly ever turned the power off on them for well over 10+ years.
As you can see the top large capacitor on the right has a bulge on the top so defincately needs replacing. As the one next to it is exactly the same capacity and voltage I planned to replace them both.
What is your advice/opinion on whether or not on old(er)...-

by remdaleI have a rear video card Nvidia Quadro 5000M, but I broke a small SMD 0402 capacitor on the front side of the card. It's the 2nd capacitor just down the U1 inscription in the left bottom corner of the card. Would anyone having this card please help me measure the capacitance of it? It would require a bit of soldering.
To those interested in this card: I'm working on replicating it, so you might become interested in buying it from me after I finish. I'm also planning on changing its shape to fit some other laptops.
