you can buy a small pcb that lets you re-use the display as a monitor!

Yes I have seen them on EBay but my question is how easy is it really to do my biggest issue is to get the IPad apart which I have never done before I have seen several how to do YouTube videos but from what I can see is they do not really tell when you are heating the screen when it is ready to take apart with out damaging the screen or the digitizer which is required for use as monitor but would help protect the screen

you need to heat it evenly so something like a hot water bottle is handy,
and try to pull the screen out with suction cups - never pry it with a tool.
cant really add much - these taped in designs are a pain.
if you where gonna scrap it you have nothing to lose though.
