Is it safe to put Blackberry bold in the oven?

Got a dead BB bold 9700.

Was working then just shut off, stripped it and cleaned it then it came back on for 2 mins then i put the case back together and dead again? I am thinking dry joint somewhere so want to stick it in the oven.

I know you can do it with laptops, but you can remove their batteries, this bb has a small button cell soldered to it.

Sell it for spares or stick it in the oven at 200c for 10 mins?

Its my step sons, feel bad for him coz he only got it last week to replace his knackered BB Curve! So wanna get it goin for him.

    P.S, Blackberrys are sh*t!

The batteries will get ruined in the oven. If they are lithium, they may even catch fire.

Also, 200C is not enough for reflows. For lead-free, you want 230C.

        No warranty.

It came back on then died again. Going for spares

Hello everyone my oven is less than 2 years old and all of a sudden recently when i run the oven for 15 minutes or so and i am done with it and shut it off. after about 10 minutes it starts chiming and randomly putting it in different modes like the touch screen is being touched but no one is around it. I have tried to reset it by unplugging it multiple times and no luck. I took it apart to see the main board and everything looks fine. I am wondering if i should replace the main board or if its in the control panel. the touch screen is very responsive and works like it should. its only acting...

Chasis bond to neutral to overcome oven tripping problem
          by schnauzer2021
          Hi,

I have a 6 years old Rowenta table top oven. The oven have both convection and grill function.
Last Christmas I used it to roast a turkey with the convection mode for about 4 hours without any problem. When I switched to grill mode to deep browning the turkey for the final half hour, the power trips after a while.

I have not been using the oven since then. Last week, when I try to use the oven again, both convection and grill mode trip the power supply a few minutes after turning it on.

As I was too busy with my work, I leave it to the repairman...

SEF 551.10 - Error starting the reflow oven.
          by bpjl
          Hello,

When starting the SEF 551.10 reflow oven, the following problem occurs:

It seems to me that this is related to corrupted software. Does anyone have files that can fix this device? Or maybe someone uses such an oven and is able to make a sector copy of the memory card located in the computer controlling this oven?

PS.: Of course, appropriate emails for help have been sent to the manufacturer and distributor in my country. No response yet, but I don't expect much. It's a fairly old device and from what I know, it's no longer...

          Daewoo microwave oven repair
          by goodpsusearch
One day my microwave oven stopped heating.

It would turn on and rotate the plate but no heat.

I removed the cover and checked components with digital multimeter.

Found that the high voltage fuse was blown.

This is not the AC fuse, if the AC fuse was blown then the oven would appear totally dead.

Then I tried to find replacement fuse on local electronic parts stores and this specific value was not available so I got the closest I could find.

I replaced fuse and tried to heat up a glass of water.

          Strange noise...

LG LST5651SW stove: oven not heating properly
          by Curious808
LG LST5651SW stove: The oven has a hidden bottom (bake) element that seems not to be heating up, but tests OK.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Set oven to 400. The display shows it heating up normally to about 365, and stops there. The top (broil) element is visible and heated. Can't see the bottom element, but the bottom of the oven isn't extremely hot. A wet cloth on the bottom doesn't sizzle and doesn't really heat up. The stovetop burners seem to be working fine.

          TESTING SO FAR:

          1) Removed the back panel and leads to the bottom element. Using multimeter, continuity...
