no sound out of the left side subwoofer worked fine but no regular sound.
so i soldered a replacement wire in to bypass the faulty connection.

I read that Skullcandy has lifetime warranty on their products, was there a problem with warranty on this ?

$20? That's a good money for those headphones there. Judging by the pictures, personally I wouldn't pay even $2 for such shitty headphones. I fixed some TurtleBeach EarForce(?) headphones about 6 months ago and they were utter crap IMO, despite their $100 price tag for a new pair. They had a built-in amp powered from 5V on USB, but it was so weak it would distort the sound horribly at even slightly louder-than-normal levels.

the subs in them were behind the regular speakers.

                          Pimp my Headphones ??

Reminds me of my friend who thinks that 5.1 channel "surround sound" headphones must sound much better than a regular pair of headphones because regular headphones cannot reproduce "surround sound".

the sub was powered by a AA battery.

These are only meant to look cool to dumb kids, just like those "Beats" headphones.

The "subwoofer" is probably just a bass boost circuit powered by that AA battery.

I just saw some in a magazine in our (junk) mail. Prices ranged from $50 to $100 and above. Seriously, why does everyone think those Beats headphones are so special? I never heard how they sound, but I doubt they are that great.

OK, this one dates back to 2015! I thought I had posted this, but realized I didn’t when I posted a picture of something else. So here it goes…

Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.

As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right! So let’s take...

Sony WH 1000XM4 Headphones always on because of corosion?

                                        Hi all,

i got these headphones which were not charging or powering on. I found some corosion around the charging port and power board. After cleaning the headphones took a charge but directly powered on.
The power button ist without any reaction. I suggest that there ist still some gunk under the button and i get an always power on. Do you have any suggestions what to do? Is it possible to desolder the button for a cleaning?
I could replace the board for 25 euros but maybe there is another way?

I have problem with probook 650 g2 - laptop shows connected headphones Even without them. If i pług headphone Jack - computer show disconnected headphones. Speakers work when i change sound output.
I replaced Jack board - nothing changed. Computer shows connected headphones even without Jack board connected to motherboard.

Mats / mods: detected and repaired GPU fault. Cant seem to test after!

                                        Hello.

GPU came in, green lines. Spent lots of time using to get the Mats / mods drive working (found on youtube).
Found issue with a RAM block
                                        Replaced, green lines gone.
Trying to test again, assuming getting the false positive. Originally had over 1K on a single bank. Now getting tosses low between banks.
Used a good card to test and same results low errors 32+.

I am just search for some form of command to do a full test on the GPU.
I just ran the mats command with my good GPU and passed after roughly 40 min.
                                        The repaired one, ran...

Hi, I have these AONIC 50 headphones that no longer connect. They have been unused for about 2 years. The battery has been replaced and when turned on the LED only flashes blue continuously. Connected to the power supply they recharge. Connected to the PC you can hear the recognition signal but they are not recognized by the Shure Update Utility program (they do not connect) that I downloaded to try to install the firmware. I do not know how to proceed. It is a good product, even if expensive, that I would not like to put aside. It is out of warranty, unfortunately. Do you have any ideas on how...
