Why not a dual station setup and have a T245 on one side and the other one on the other side? No change required.

then maybe i'll get a T3a and a micro-pencil and make a splitter with a swutch - save wearing the plugs out

That’s the only thing I could find out back then.

AFAIK no. The plugs are different between the T3A and the T3B

    i didnt mean that,
    i meant can a T3A base run a JBC micro-pencil intended for a T3B ?

No you can't run a T12 cartridge in the T245 pen using the T3A base station. You need the T12 pen to run T12 cartridges. I've got one and it works fine.

here is a question, can a T3a base run the smaller handle with micro-tips or is the cartridge voltage/sensor different?

Indeed AiXun T3B is first option for nano and precise components.

Thanks, indeed looks half decent to me!

Yes, I was looking at the i2c stations which seem garbage, the Aixun stations look good though, so good I bought the T3B. Half tempted to the the T3A also.

They are about a third of the price caprider.

I have a cheap ZD 8908 hot air station using it i found :
It is good for small cms components that have exposed pads...
It is really bad for chips and IC's especially in multi-layer PCBs

Why a knock off when you can get an original JBC at about the same price?

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
    by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

    by chth96
    hello.
A few months ago,I have purchased 0.1mm Soldering Iron Tip of below aliexpress link,But I noticed that It is totally impossible to use this 0.1mm iron tip in the T12 soldering station
    https://ko.aliexpress.com/item/4001275635593.html
Is there any good soldering station which is possible to use 900M-TJ-I tip and have inexpensive or reasonable price in aliexpress?
    Any reply would be appreciated.

KSGER C245 Soldering station PSU 220V only?
    by mkbehbeh
I purchased this soldering station when it was on sale at amazon. It had a slew of one star reviews, but the price was low enough that even if the controller and PSU were toast, the handle tips and stand were worth more than the price. All of the reviews mentioned that the unit was either DOA, or died on the first use. I looked on Aliexpress and the first clue was that KSGER still sold the 220V version of this station, but all of the 110V versions had been discontinued. I figured That there was a problem with the 110V on the power suppply and the controller would be fine.

    I am...

Yihua 992DA+ Hot air gun and soldering rework station, burnt mark
    by Peter_1402
    Hi Everyone,
I bought a Yihua 992DA+ hot air gun and soldering iron unit from a used market.
    1. Soldering iron works great
    2. There is a burnt mark on the hot air gun handle.
I am a bit concern by the look of the melted plastic. I opened the hot air gun handle and took some readings with a multimeter.
Heating element ~ 75ohm. (Similar reading taken from a spare heating element that came with the unit.)
Thermocouple ~ 1.5ohm. (Similar reading from the spare heating element.)
Reed switch tested ok with a magnet.
From the above test, I can conclude...

    QUICKO soldering station
    by nbdy
    HI,

Have a QUICKO soldering station with no numbers for the model ... (think it's a KSGER or similar copy)

All worked nice, till some day it heats the iron till it was RED (HOT) ...

Turned it off, and tryed today again, and all the same, even with a second iron ...

The display shows that the iron is not connected, like not inserted in the handle ...

The second thing is that it has 6 pins connector and can't find a handle that is similar for my station ...

Has someone some advice what to do, where to look, even how to...
