how to clean manual solder suction that becomes sluggish tin mixed with extra flux have tried with alcohol but it is not enough any tip

It pumps a bit slowly so that the suction is not so good I have cleaned but does not make it effective

Are we talking about a Desoldering Gun Station if so check and see that your suction tube is clear and that you have replaced the filters if you still have suction issues then carefully take apart the suction pump assembly and make sure that it is clean and that the rubber parts are in good condition including the tubing for the suction tube circuits for the device

pull out the piston and put silicone based grease on the rubber o-ring(s)
also, put some on the inside of the barrel.

Yes, for the handheld solder suckers e.g. Edsyn Soldapullt like pic we used to clean them, and then lube them up with Lubriplate and the suction got much better. It was a weekly routine in the repair shop. That is a light petroleum grease.

The smaller metal tube solder suckers never performed any good, they are crap. If they don't have poor tolerances and sloppy piston seal, they have a wimp spring and it's just a waste of time.

That's exactly what I do. Works like a charm every time.

Yeah, you have to take them apart, it's a messy process. Do it in a pan or on cardboard or something.
