Hi, so I do console repairs normally, but I have a friend that needs me to reball their 2080ti GPU, does anyone have a profile for the ACHI IR PRO SC they could share. I know i my need to adjust is slightly to match my machine, I don't have any other GPUs to run a test on to build a profile. Thanks inadvance

For this type of intervention, the power of the bottom heater is very important. I think your machine has an IR top heater and not an air one and this could be a problem. The profile I see seems slightly too low in terms of temperature at the end of the process. The temperature on the sides of the GPU during removal must not be lower than 235 240 degrees celsius as there are areas that absorb a lot of heat. What software do you use? can you post a photo of the machine and the bottom heater thermocouple?Comment

Helo, I have just purchased the CHI IR PRO SC, termo couple standard. Before I had a chance to do any test I already have a work on it. Before I do a mess, can anyone help me out with this one please and share the prifile?

by WeelcupHi
I have an Achi IR6000 rework station. It was working normally until recently. It does ramp the temprature very slowly on the top heater.
Precisely, on the Heater temperature controller LCD, the SV only added up 1C° when the PV reaches the SV temp. For example, the SV will only change from 25C° to 26C° if the PV reaches 25C°. Therefore, the difference will only remain 1C° during the rework process.
Now, this sounds OK at lower temperatures but as soon as the temp is above the 200C° The it take ages to ramp up. Imagine the top heater is 201C° and the temp on the chip... -
by moscastHi everyone, I recently purchased a BGA machine (ACHI IR PRO SR, 2400W IR Bottom and 450w IR Upper) but I don't know how to create the processing profiles. I need to desolder a faulty GPU on a laptop.
As software I was thinking of using this:

Can anyone tell me the most suitable or common heating curves for soldering and desoldering?
Thank you -
by learnmoreHello Community,
Based on your experiences and knowledge, which BGA Rework stations would you recommend for general use for an enthusiast at the low-mid-to-high price range? Based on what I've seen, £6000 may be considered high. I particularly like those with adjustable focus, built-in suction and ball alignment features, but I appreciate that they may be on the high end.
Also any thoughts on the PUHUI T-862++ IR Rework Station, LY GXX models, WDS-XXX models? -
by petemanukHi,
I been playing with a recently acquired IR6500 rework station and watching lots of YouTube tutorials to see how to use it with not much success. I’ve only recently joined badcaps but going through the forums there is a lot of knowledge here, so though it best is if I ask my question here.
1. Firstly is the IR6500 any good for BGA rework or should I be spending my money on a better one.
2. The instruction manual is pretty useless on explaining how to set the PID loops (no information at all!!) both top and bottom heater for th Kp, Ki and Kd...10-14-2022, 12:31 AM - Loading...
