Hi
I have a gaming laptop HP omen 17-ck that is not turning on. I cannot find any shorts on the motherboard.
Steps done:
I tried several bioses and cleaned it me region with no luck
Checked all voltages: and it seems that good signal comes for 2-3 seconds the office again
.
The laptop does charge the battery.
The PCH does not warm up within those 3s.
I do suspect the PCH but will need your advise if you have any other suggestions.

Technical question on Bios and public RSA Key
Hi friends,
I have a laptop that came to me that is not powering on. I have fixed the hardware issue but still not turning on. I have checked the bios and noticed it is not the original bios. That someone has flashed the bios before.
My question is that if originally this laptop has public RSA private key on, how can I get a dump that can work with this device with out having the key?
Laptop is dell G7 7588. LA-E994P
Any suggestions? -

Qnap TVS-x72xt ... need some measures please.
Hi friends
I need your help to give me some diode measure for the power rails on one of TVS QNap NAS devices.
I got one which is not powering on. Totally dead. And I want thresistant measure of the power rail L15 as in the photo. It is giving me 60 ohm? And I am suspecting it is low. But not sure as the is not schematics available online. Any help would be a great help.

You were very right. The laptop is doing the same (shutting down soon after the charger is connected).
So it might be the heat applied to that area.
But the issue gradually re-occur. And now is shutting off with a second after connecting the charger while in windows....Leave a comment:

I could not find any overheating comp. Under the thermal camera.
But these are the resistance readings as requested (black prob on gnd)

Xps 9360 turn on then off immediately...
Hi
So i got a xps 9360 i7 8th generation . Which has LA-F051p motherboard.
The laptop briefly blinks and immediately shuts off. All the signals including VCC SA and VCC Core comes on during this 1 second time. Apart from VCC_GT. I did the following so far
Replacing charger IC
Replacing CPU controller ic ISL92859A
Replacing the VCC GT mosfet
Replacing the VCC SA mosfet + its driver.
Replacing TPM IC
And of course tried 2 different bioses but same issue.
So i am open for any suggest or help what... -

Exactly as you mentioned i have replaced all the three diodes. Boom! It is loading windows 10 without shutting off. So definitely you are right those diodes were affecting the board. When using multimeter in diode mode, all the diodes are giving the same values so it is very surprising why they were failing.
However, i just noticed that the laptop experianced 2 more shut downs with in windows. 5-10mins after windows loads.
Nevertheless, replacing the diodes you mentioned helped.

Yes sure this is the schematics... kindly find the attached file.
On the other hand, just wanted to mention again, the laptop is not shutting down when in the bios, it only shuts off during windows boot. I have already replaced the ssd and the ram just to sum the odds. But no luck. Hi Friends
So i have today a XPS9560 laptop with LA-E331P motherboard i7 CPU.
There were some corrosion around the charging chip BQ777. I cleaned the corroded component with ultrasonic. And then tested all the components within the corroded area. Replaced 2 resistors as they had wrong readings and then the laprop powered on. The original laptop battery were shorted and the battery fuse were blowen (inside battery circuit) so i replaced the battery as well.
Now the batttery is charging normally. But the only wiered issue i am facing is that when the charger is connected... -

I checked the youtube channel you refered, thanks. However, it was basic troubleshootings. I used to deal with usbc at that level but this flipping issue, i did not come across. Apparently, some other chip is interfering. I suspect the thunderbolt big ic but just not sure enough and i do not have a replacement at the moment. Nevertheless, i will update the post as soon as i got it replaced.

And yes i already checked all the 3 posrts under microscope and all seems fine.
I was thinking what could be in common with both ports in which they communicate in reverse. Now if the datasheet explain what each ic do then i have to check how they works in pairs. Hope to get figure it out...Leave a comment:
