Good and Bad Mainboard Mfr Experiences

Since am new to the forum, I have been reading everything.

One thing that really surprised me was that even "Good Reputation" mainboard mfrs have released boards with "Bad Caps"!

An earlier posting asked which mainboards were safe to buy. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=787

I would like to ask another question: How have the various mainboard mfrs stood behind their boards with "bad caps"? Especially those "out of warranty"

    Appreciate any actual user experience.

    Thanks

Abit is the ONLY one that will replace a bad caps board no questions asked. If its out of warranty, they charge a $25.00 exchange fee. The only drawback, is Abit returns them with the same shoddy brands that they originally had.

if I had to choose a brand, Supermicro all the way!

They are consumer electronics, some better than others, some worse...The technology changes so fast that they are not planned/designed for long usage/life...

Server components may be somewhat better...but you get what you pay for...

Some one really messed with the "Bad Cap Fairy" and she decided everyone should suffer...
Ya'll think us folk from the country's real funny-like, dontcha?
