What is it you're wanting to do ? It's a Westen Digital Cloud drive, there is no "i" in it.

Okay are there any good choices that actually works as advertised because most of the reviews I have read so far are terrible I want to buy something that actually works out of the box and not have to call tech support and go through a bunch of nonsense

Here is a review I copied from the Western Digital site that was written 9 months ago about one of their more successful cloud storage devices.

Western Digital will end support to your device
The software will create problems over time; you need to have a high technical knowledge to get the most out of the device. The worst is investing time and money into the device and having WD end support because is no longer compatible with their security updates. Do not invest in this device. I advise you to build your own NAS (OpenMediaVault or FreeNAS) instead of buying this device; honestly, it is not that hard.

This review was written by afrf107 on the Western Digital Site for the My Cloud Pro Series PR4100 Part#: WDBNFA0000NBK-NESN

Okay how do you build your own NAS

Here is what I would like to do dump pictures off of the iPhone and save files off of the computer 3D drawing and slicer files and stuff like that

I do not want to use the iCloud I personally do not trust them and do not want someone else to control my data

From what I have read you can not either get the device to boot up or you can access your files or it destroys your hard drives or you just can not get it to work correctly I read a lot of these kinds of issues and more issues really

First, I gave you a name on a site that tells you it is easy. One might try to look up this person and ask them.

I don't use it, however may have to use suites such as that to get caldav service...

Just get a NAS and allow web access.

Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)

                              Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                              🛠 Original Issue
                              The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

                              Hello mates,

I bought this subwoofer a few days ago used and blind and it works erratically, as far as I could see, it has been tampered with, the speaker is not the original one and of 8 Ohm when it should be of 4, and there are some welds like reworked by the boards.

It doesn't have much power (expected more from it) and it distorts if you increase the volume over the middle, maybe it's because of the high impedance of the speaker. The problem is that it has sound when it wants, the led panels all work correctly, you can hear the power relay on power on, but right now...

CF-20 Toughbook (mk1) Trackpad/Touchpad and USB ports not working

                              Hey guys,

Just purchased a CF-20 (mk1) supposedly was all working. However, the seller had done a fresh install of windows 10 but did not install any driver. Seller was adamant the trackpad/touchpad was working.

The touchpad/trackpad does not work. No led lights near the trackpad. The keyboard works, the USB 2 port on the base does not work, The USB 3 ports will recognise a USB 3 flashdrive but did not recognise a USB mouse. The ethernet port on the keyboard section works.

The USB 3 port on the actual tablet section works with no issues.

Hey ya'll this is my first post on here. I recently aquired a used/broken 2019 mbp 16 a2141 with the 820-01700 board. Seller told me that the laptop needed a new lcd. However upon doing some troubleshooting i found out the lcd is fine.

Laptop boots like a normal, plays chime, touchbar lights up however there is no image on the internal lcd. If i connect and external monitor while its already on, nothing happens and no image is displayed on external. However if i restart or boot the machine while its plugged in, the external then works and a backlight is now visible on the laptop....
