    Stripped iTunes...

My Asus Eeepc 701 obviously doesn't have alot of storage room with Windows XP and a 4GB SSD, and I want to install iTunes. Now obviously I will install it to the SD card and not the internal SSD, but the damn thing still needs like 150MB in the internal SSD. So is there like a stripped down version of iTunes out there that works with my iPod touch?

    Thanks.

            WinAmp should work too.
Personally, I hate iTunes. It's bloated and doesn't have as many options as other players out there.

Only iTunes will let you rearrange the icons on the home screen though, not sure if this is a big deal to you.

I hate Apple but... I broke down and bought a 32GB touch a few months back and I'll be damned if it isn't the coolest mobile device I have ever owned. I almost want to say it's the coolest piece of tech I own, but that would be my new Windows 7 rig I just built last September.

gotta disagree, the coolest mobile-tech is my PSP with Go!Explore installed on it.

iPod nano G3 - alternative soldering point for the white battery wire
                        by Norrecito
                        Hi,

A friend of mine gave me an iPod nano G3 to see if I can fix it for him.

The device had a faulty battery and he tried to replace it but failed. In the process he managed to pull off the pads that corresponds to the white battery wire (marked with a red circle in the images)....from both sides of the PCB. Fortunetely he didn't damage anything else.
This is usually an easy fix HOWEVER, on the PCB, I see no traces coming from the VIA and after searching the internet, I've found no schematics nor boardview for this device. With the pads gone from both sides I seem...

I'm currently in the process of replacing the LED backlight strips and during the midsts of getting the outer bezels off, in order to take off the screen, I stripped a couple of the tiny screws. Does anyone have an idea of the type of screw/size so I'm able to replace them? I'm just wondering if it's a specific non-conductive metal or not... a bit hesitant on going to the local hobby lobby, matching them up size wise, turning the tv on and then having it explode because it was the wrong metal lol

I was able to extract the few stubborn screws using a Dremel, and making a notch for...

It was water damaged but fixable. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

                        Thanks in Advance.

Hi all.. don't even know where to start to search for this MCU. No markings on it whatsoever. It is shorted and now removed. It comes out of a Gear4 houseparty ipod dock speaker that also has Fm Radio and Aux input. 12v supply but chip is on a 5v circuit. Photo of said chip attached....

Has anyone experienced this? Translucent streaks appear in the photo you can see them. They appear and disappear. Sometimes it's always streaks, sometimes it's not. If you put your finger in the area of the t-con chip, the stripes begin to appear and disappear every second. T-con to replace?
