I used to run Ubuntu and Mint, but I actually prefer OpenSuSE better. I think it depends on what you're really looking for. I prefer the terminal and find OpenSuSE a bit more suited towards my needs. I felt Ubuntu was a bit too user friendly. That's just how I feel though.

I run Linux on my primary PC. I'm running OpenSuSE Tumbleweed. It's a rolling distribution, which means I don't have to reinstall when a newer version comes out. My wife, however, runs Windows 10 64-bit on her laptop. This is kind of a good thing though, because having it installed, I was able to learn it. When it comes to repairing PCs, it's good to know the various operating systems. I plan on installing Windows Server 2012 sometime in the near future, when I get some free time.

Still preferring W7 for the time being , 64 bit of course for better Memory Rams and Cpus readings . There are strong links between Operating systems , Cpus and Rams , and no one can disregard it ..Windows 10 of course seems the upcoming trap , speaking higher Rams and Cpus , so little choices we have on the long run .

No change from the last decade plus, and no change foreseen. Thank you versionless distributions.

    Where do I start...
I have 7 on my primary PC, 10 on laptop (with Ubuntu 16.04 on dualboot), Ubuntu 16.04 on NAS, Ubuntu 14.04 on main server, Debian 7 on OpenVZ VPS.
Oh, and Android 6.0 (CM13) on my Galaxy S4 smartphone and Android 4.4 on a cheap Huawei tablet.
I also have a hybrid tablet with broken screen which has Windows and Android on dual boot.
I also have 3 raspberry pis, two running LibreELEC (Kodi), and one running OpenWRT serving as a 4G ethernet bridge.

HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns - Complete Black Screen - Only video on live usb
    by iZakre
    Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

MacBook Air A1466 2017 Operating Very Slow
    by ACS-Repair
I'm hoping someone can help me with a 2017 MacBook Air A1466 820-00165 that is running very slow. This is a board that I picked up on ebay recently.
This is not being caused by a sensor issue. All sensors report normal operation and the fans run at normal speed. Geekbench gives me a single core CPU value of 124, when it should be closer to 400. I was unable to complete an install on the SSD without putting it into a different computer first.
The board appears clean with no sign of liquid damage. I have done a PRAM and SMC reset, and I have done a reflow of the SMC. I have inspected...

    Fit 820-00244-А board in Apple Macbook A1534 2017 820-00687-А
    by stefanbs
The laptop is Apple Macbook A1534 2017 with board 820-00687-А. The USB-C tester shows no voltage, there is 820-00244-А board available. I looked at both schematics, all connector signals seem to be the same. Did someone try to fit 820-00244-А board in A1534 2017?

    Macbook a1707 2017 model 820-00928 GPU issue
    by sofles
    Hello there

I have problem with Macbook Pro 15" 2017, model 2017, MB code 820-00928.

I bought it as broken with some artefacts on the screen, first I thought that this is problem with ribbon cable but after inspectiing ribbon cable I know it is fine. I tried to reinstall macOs and then I figured out that this must be something with GPU as installation freezes at the end (when drivers are loaded). I installed Windows and was able to install every each of drivers except GPU driver, as soon as I tried to install GPU driver - black screen and restart.
