True, but a bug still existing over 25 years later is shockingly bad.

          I say by accident/poor design.

Hahaha, I remember this vulnerability, it was used for example in LAN parties like Dreamhack more than a decade ago!

Aw man, I just shed a few tears watching this.

Kind of sad to think most of this hardware is now probably sitting at the bottom of a landfill, or an e-waste site in some 3rd-world country, or maybe even recycled already. A lot of this hardware could still be working today if it was around (save for bad caps, which were everywhere back then).

I just bought a Ti4400 the other day on eBay. Felt like holding a little piece of history when I was testing it today.
Oh, the fun days of early "3D" games, CRTs, and tiny-whiny noisy 5000 RPM fans.

Well, can you blame them? It seems to work every time.
That said, I think even the average Jane and Joe have started to notice that something is not right anymore with the latest Windows OSes. Maybe Windows 10 will be the final nail in the MS OS coffin.

I just had to test it, first password I tried could not be cracked in 30 seconds so I selected a much easier one and look what we get.
                Soooo fantastic!

                  iCloud macbook account M1
                  by PITERPENY
I've been wondering for a few days now. Where is the account information stored on a MacBook with an M processor?! Previously, this information was written to the T1, then to the T2. Serial numbers in the EFI chip. I'd like to know how this is implemented on M processors. Is the account on the SSD or on the chips that are on the processor itself?!

                  Hi
Got a new board to repair dead set.

customer had some paid accounts that wants to reuse from old board as he has no more access to the original email account for some iptv and other services like Disney etc. Are these stored in spi flash?
I guess they are in a Samsung account storage area.

Pioneer PDP-427XD TV part Cap details Pls'
                  by BoB4js
I have a Pioneer PDP-427XD TV, not many hours on it. Bought second hand, I think it must have been a TV used in a meeting room, as it was like new when we got it. No manual, but worked out most of it.

The Problem I have now is it went out with a crack noise, then a blinking LED, if I remember it had 6 flashes.

I had a look and after a bit of hunting around (very frustrating as TV shuts down after a few seconds), I found a Capacitor on the Scan Assy Top Board had cracked and tried its best to meld down. Now, as it happens, I can get to this capacitor, but not the others...
