I have a Pioneer PDP-427XD TV, not many hours on it. Bought second hand, I think it must have been a TV used in a meeting room, as it was like new when we got it. No manual, but worked out most of it.
The Problem I have now is it went out with a crack noise, then a blinking LED, if I remember it had 6 flashes.
I had a look and after a bit of hunting around (very frustrating as TV shuts down after a few seconds), I found a Capacitor on the Scan Assy Top Board had cracked and tried its best to meld down. Now, as it happens, I can get to this capacitor, but not the others on the same board. There are others the same, but it means removing loads of screws and shielding to get to them. A bit of a nightmare! However, I have found out the capacitor number and part number, though not type, voltage etc.
Can anyone help with this? Details below:
FROM BOAD: Scan B Assy Top Board:
Capacitor No: C2741. (I think 2751 and maybe all between may be the same value).
Part Number: ACG1125.
If I could find out the details of this capacitor, I can change it.
I did contact Pioneer UK, but no reply!
I think it is worth replacing the capacitor, the TV has an excellent picture.
I might be able to get a board, but I think the TV would need to be set up again, I don't have the equipment.
If anyone knows Capacitor type, value, Surface mount, no details on capacitor or board except C2741.
The capacitor has a crack and as soon as it arcs the TV power supply shuts down and blinks. So I think if I replace it the TV should run, if it has another fault it will go to TV heaven.
Thanks for any help in advance.
