    does this happen if the networking is down?
    i just realised it maybe be doing something in the background - like mining for bitcoins.

      I'd suggest setting the page file to 4GB fixed. Then, upgrade to Windows 10. That should fix it!

        It happenes later on a haswell system. Its related to how low the Samsung magician sets the page file, and the fact taking so many damn updates (190+) from a fresh install of windows 7 sp1, and the fact installing updates uses very little ram and mostly the swap file
