Good day everyone
I got a Jetway M26GT4-LF rev 2.0 board that just display a clock multiplier during POST, and that it
, it won't allow me to do anything else. And my USB keyboard is not lighting up, but the PS2 does, and it doesn't response to any of my input. I have reset CMOS (shorting + remove battery), swapping processor and ram, making sure any jumpers are in correct position. None of it work. But the board does response accordingly when I restart / power off the board or when there is no RAM present, it will beep. I tried reflow the Nvidia chipset as well, and it still the same.

I also found a broken component near the Fintek chip, is that called transistor ? Is that enough to cause POSTING failure as what I describe ? I wasn't quite sure if the damage was there in first place, because I have kept this board for sometime before I dig it out, but I store my board carefully, make sure things won't scrape or damaged it.

Any opinions guys ?

as I doesn't has much of a knowledge on transistor. What I do is spent some time desoldering a couple of similar looking transistor from the motherboard. There are 2 different model labeled "IAM" and "A7W". The "A7W" will response on my DMM only with 2 leads, so I salvage a similar transistor from one of my dead ECS P3 board and replace it on this board. Installed windows 7 on this board, and it run happily for now
