Re: I tried Windows 10...
It does if you check for updates (or have a copy downloaded). You can download it from here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3050265
EDIT: FWIW, I don't actually have that update installed on my PC. The bug has no effect on it, though, since I have 8GB RAM. In fact, you usually have to have 2GB RAM or less for it to be a problem (the highest memory usage I've personally seen because of it is about 2.5GB).Last edited by c_hegge; 07-11-2015, 04:56 PM.I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Re: I tried Windows 10...
I'm personally liking Windows 10, been running it on my home PC for quite a while. Performance is up there with windows 8 (hence a little snappier than 7) and retains many of 8's improvements over 7. (8 has always been a better operating system, just a shame about the GUI changes.) 10 is a reasonable compromise, and I've been happy enough to use it without Start8'ing it. There's a few little niggles I expect from public beta releases but nothing to really worry about apart from the insistence on using internet based services.
Biggest one is family safety. With windows 8 this worked well, you could set up a local account and use family safety in the control panel to lock it down as much as you need.
Whilst this functionality is still present in windows 10, it's all online based and there's no option to do this for local accounts, so for a child's account I'd have to set them up an email address and they'd be forced to sign on with a password. Not acceptable IMO!Comment

Re: I tried Windows 10...
Finally got round to installing 10 in a VM.
Apart from the blandness 8.1 suffers from there are some nice features.
CMD as Administrator is now available by right clicking on the start menu, and there are a load of other useful short cuts there such as , programs and features, event viewer, device manager, computer management and control panel (there are others).
Things seems a little easier to find than in 8.1.
The control panel can be viewed by icons as well as category same as 7/8.1
Puzzled why they insist on calling programs, apps, but i guess that's so customers aren't confused when they are encouraged to purchase from Microsofts app store.
Much nicer to use than 8.1 but i'll be holding off from upgrading my 7, i have too much software installed and i don't think it's ever wise to jump straight in to a new OS whoever makes it until the kinks have been ironed out.
oooh new solitaire games. lolComment

by japlyticIn a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.
Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):- BIOS + database update
- Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
- Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
- Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
- TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
- Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)

Hello Guys,
got an Acer here with the problem that when i'm installing windows it just crashes (turns off) and not going back on as soon as i press the power button.
I've tried it with different sticks and windows versions and also with windows 10 and 11 but it's the same problem.
The only difference is that when i want to install windows 11 it crashes during the installation screen when "getting files ready for installation" at 25% - 30% progress and
when i install windows 10 it goes trough until the restart and at "getting devices ready" it... - Loading...
