Acer Aspire A515-52G-53PU crashing during windows installation

    Hello Guys,

got an Acer here with the problem that when i'm installing windows it just crashes (turns off) and not going back on as soon as i press the power button.
I've tried it with different sticks and windows versions and also with windows 10 and 11 but it's the same problem.
The only difference is that when i want to install windows 11 it crashes during the installation screen when "getting files ready for installation" at 25% - 30% progress and
when i install windows 10 it goes trough until the restart and at "getting devices ready" it crashes like described.

I also noticed that when i'm in the boot menu and the windows 10/11 stick is plugged in the usb 3.0 port it wont boot into the windows stick but just closing and open the boot menu again.
On the 3.0 port it only boots over a normal startup without the boot menu.
Over Usb 2.0 it boots but shuts down at the moments i mentioned.

On google i never found a similar problem so thats why i'm opening this thread.

    Anyone got a solution/idea?

    Hello,

check With minimal stuff, remove: battery, wireless card…
try With Known Working ssd and original ac adapter.
    Maybe Check cpu température too.

      Now i found something interesting.
As I disconnected more and more Devices that are connected to the 3.3v ldo the Windows Installation is going Fürther through. Can it be a unstable/partially shorted power supply?

Have you ruled out faulty ram (running a memtest, maybe try only one ram module at a time) or faulty mass storage (hdd, ssd)? What about testing with a linux live os, or installing a linux os?

Yes did this before but the issue stays the same.
I tried with 3 diferrent nvme ssds which i know All work and 4 diferrent ram sticks. So i think i can definetly rule that out.

I will try to install Linux it would be interesting if it works tough.
