Don't that motherboard run the Athlon off the 5V rail?

I'm pretty sure it does. The heatsinked mosfets and the 3x 2200uF caps to their left are all connected to the 5V input.
(This is for the 8K7A, which Stevo mentioned is what he actually has. The title still says 8kha so just want to clarify that)

The bad news is that I still get random C1 errors which will disappear after the reset button has been pushed. I have replacement caps coming my way soon so I may recap this board along with some others.

For some reson I have to wait really long before I can boot my PC up....
What I mean is that I have to wait for about 3-5 minutes after I press the power button before I can press the rest button on my case and then I will be able to see the POST screen come on. After it POSTs the PC is rock solid and passes every burn-in test and benchmark test. If I had a bunch of bad caps wouldnt my system like crash continuosly and not be able to work properly?? or am I wrong??
I don't know what's wrong with it and I feel like I might need a new board??

Don't feel alone. I erroneously thought some of my dead Intel boards had some tiny Chinese caps... until I got out the magnifying glass and saw tiny Rubys instead. Bad eyes suck.

I think it's actually an occupational hazard.

You open a PSU and find Fuhjyyu's.
This causes a brain disfunction which affects memory, eye sight, and causes an uncontrollable spewing of 4 letter words to the point the paint on the walls begins peeling.

Maybe we should call OSHA or something.

Ok, I've been a real dope. I set the VDIMM voltage too low with the jumpers to +0.0, increasing it to +0.1 (or was it 0.2?) solved the problem. Now it can POST every single time without any issues.

This is the beauty of the internet. Passing along things where others can find them useful. Glad it worked for you.

I had a guy recently do the same for me, regarding exotic heat sinks on Intel boards. I was all set to use Scythe Zipang coolers, but I was totally put off by the cheesy push-pin mount system for a kilogram cooler. Some smart guy posted that I can use the $7 Thermalright LGA775 bolt-through kit with backing plate with the Scythe coolers.
