    Hard Disk:Samsung SP1604N - Pcb: BF41-00076A

    Greetings to all!
This time I have to try to fix this Hard Disk: SAMSUNG SP1604N - PCB: BF41-00076A that has the problem that will not turn on.
This hard drive has a component in fact destroyed that certainly does not feed properly the entire circuit .....

I know it's an impossible task but you component is??
on the circuit are the polarity ... so I guess it's a caps ... what do you think??

    Thank you!

i think it's a diode - I had the same thing happen when I plugged in the wrong power adapter into an external drive (swapped the +5 and +12 rails) I found one on an old 40GB drive which I soldered into place and my 1TB drive worked fine.
Thats not a Fuhjyyu I used in your antec PSU its a HITACHI!! rofl lol lmao funni gui!

Have a look here - or do some research on Hard Drive TVS diodes

Riotpack, thanks for your answer ..... but I think we are close to solving the problem as they are able to get a picture of the offending part!!

        Of that component's this??

        Thank you all!

Either a capacitor for extra filtering or a diode for protection. The drive will likely work without it, regardless of which of these it is.

First thing to do is to remove it. Next, check what each pad on the board for this component is connected to. If one pad is ground and the other is 5V or 12V, then it's likely either a capacitor or a diode as I mentioned above - in which case the drive will work fine without it.

I thank everyone for their cooperation, but I decided to restitutire the'' hd to their rightful owner because I do not live together even the operation of the head, in order to prevent further damage.

            thanks

**Need Help Unlocking BIOS and Hard Drive on Dell Precision 5820 Tower**
              by federalhouse
              Hi everyone,

I'm in need of assistance with a Dell Precision 5820 Tower. The BIOS is locked with "Dell Security Manager," preventing access to the HDD-1 hard drive.

              **Background:**

I recently purchased this Dell Precision 5820 Tower from a recycler who salvages equipment from abandoned office spaces. The computer was left behind by its previous owner and was password locked. Given that it can run Windows 11, I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my setup.

              **What I've Tried So Far:**

Fixing the Charge Circuit of the Batteries of the DC Motor
              by Astonished
              Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.

Today recieved hp model 17-f100nx laptop with no power.(motherboard=DAY11AMB6E0) after that repaired +1.05v section due to faulty buck converter.after that power issue fixed and laptop turns on.But "no bootable 3f0 error displayed".so then

i checked the connectivity of ribbon=good communication with hard and motherboard

changed hard disk and checked=3f0 error persist

              sata power=+5v available

              Then checked data capacitors=all good

Then checked data lines path connectivity to pch=all good

              Short Circuit tester
              by Tarot Superstars
              Hello.
I have seen a short circuit tester made with 3 * 9V batteries, a voltage limiter component and a resistor connected to the probes of a multimeter.
The theory is that the meter becomes sensitive enough to read very low resistances and the lowest resistance to ground on a circuit is likely to be a short circuit in that area.

My multimeter isn't normally sensitive to very small resistance, but when I put a 1 mega ohm resistor...
