    c/p

All you need is the DVI cable and blank HDMI connector.
The schematic for DVI and HMDI is found here: http://www.networktechinc.com/technote.html
Make all the TDMS and DDC connections and the VDC and gnd and you are good to go.

I'm halfway there. The cheapo hdmi i am using that i have sliced up is strange.

All the wires are different than they should be, I'm guessing the tdms wires should be the shielded wires but they are not, its like they just stuck any wire anywhere? Me and my New Cheapo DMM have mapped all the wires out, just need to map the DVI-D wires out so i can connect them together.

Do i connect them all up to the same wires or reverse them like when making a crossover cable out of an ethernet?

from what i have read straight conect pin for pin, no reverse! so take dmm an match pin to wire, mark them an connect! placement has to be the same as it is universal!

Why are we making a cable that factories are pounding out every day for next to nothing? A DVI to HDMI cable is readily available.

Knowledge? Fun? Seeing if it can be done by yourself? Nothing better to do on a rainy day?
All are good reasons if you ask me. Yes I can get a cheapo cable from China for under $1, but if I have all of the parts and I'm curious, why not, right?
