    Led blinker circuits

I just started the creation of my new pc case which is looks like the CM-5 supercomputer and already I have hit problems. The CM-5 has a massive strip of blinking led's on the front controlled by it's 65+ thousand cpu's. While mine can't possibly be that complex, I decided to go smaller. I need to find a schematic that can allow two-three different sets of 80 leds to blink in different times. It can go no less than .5 seconds between blink cycles and can be powered by 12v. Once the case is done, i will show you all.

Odd question for a non-gaming site

Thought I had something for you but no images show. I do think thier bandwidth was exceeded for this month. I sure hope so, as this is a very helpful, basic site. http://www.cpemma.co.uk/index.html Check his links page as it offers much.

Another basic but good site http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/proj.htm Look it over and discover.

If your in The States(update your profile, as I did mine, plz) allelectronics.com has scads of LED goodies.

I know exactly what the leds do. In jurassic park, there were eight of these beasts and the leds went from side to side. eight rows went to the left and then another eight to the right and so on until you reached the bottom of the unit. They leds also never lined up more than three in a row so it seem randomized.
I didn't know that my profile wsa incomplete. thanks for that and i live in canada.

I have yet to go for a swim.
I might of found some pre assembled led panels. they are not heavily clustered with led's but they should work.

pentium, the first link I posted is back with images. Sure to find some usefull info there. The British sites are great for DIY stuff. Kind of puts the great back into Great Britain

MD, I so want to spend a week motorbiking around your Island. It might be the closest I ever get to the rural portion of the British Isles.*sigh*

pentium, a site you might want to mark http://led.linear1.org/ I saw it posted elsewhere and thought you might like/need it. ;-)

MD, w/120W heated riding gear, cool, wet weather riding on clean rural roads is a treat=no tourists wearing funny cloths and no real traffic.
lol, I do hope your Avatar is not a recent pic.

Info filled link pentium. Looking it over was time well spent by me.

A fella I know designs Christmas displays and I contacted him to see what he might offer you. He said, although it's aimmed at 110VAC displays, the forums at planetchristmas.com are very friendly/supportive of such projects and will offer you info&parts links for this deal...Just a thought.

I already have the led's. I managed to find at my job a trashed led display sign with more than enough parts. I will look into that forum anyways (while it means another membership, another password).
