Re: Who makes the better monitors
Very True. Some of the NEC monitors from back in the 2003-2005 date range were very good. Nowadays, some of the high end HP IPS monitors are good. I use a HP LP2065 20" monitor. It has an awesome picture.
**** NOTE **** Do some research and make sure you buy a monitor that either of the following panels: IPS (first choice) or P-MVA (second choice). Do not buy a modern TN panel...they suck.Last edited by barney; 02-25-2012, 04:23 PM.Comment

Re: Who makes the better monitors
Dell are good ones, Asus makes good panels, very common here (I'm using one and it has 3 years warranty). LG crt's were really reliable, also have one T710PU and it's been running non stop for 5+ years. Dunno about their LCD's though...Guns don't solve problems. I'll take 12

by BigOofI have a pair of Pioneer RM-07 monitors that I bought a while ago. When I was testing them I noticed that one speaker would cut out and I thought it was just a bad cable connection. At the price they were being sold for I was willing to take a risk on them. However, 6 months later and the one monitor still has the same issue. Most of the time it works, but there are times that the power LED is on but I get absolutely no sound. I can hear the relay clicking on/off sometimes and then it will/won't work depending on what it feels like. I've tried XLR and RCA inputs with the same issue. There's no...

by ttmi100xGreetings everyone,
I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...
The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.
Upon closer inspection...6 Photos-

by capsulejI have a bunch of these monitors that all seem to have the same issue with bad inverter boards. Either the monitor will power on and not display a picture or it will display a picture for 2 seconds and then shut off. I know this because swapping the boards out with a working unit fixes the problem.
Apparently this is caused by the dell soundbars overloading the monitors power rails as they are of poor quality. I would like to fix the boards if possible but im not sure what to look for.

by questoreHi Guys,
I thought I write you a tutorial on how to remove your bios password from your lenovo x390 yoga.
Steps:
1. Get an EC programmer and read the EC firmware.
2. Back up your working EC file !!! (on this modell EC stores all hardware infos and you cannot replace it with others)
3. In your EC firmware file find all of these ranges with a hex editor and replace them with 00:
!!!!!! IMPORTANT THAT YOU ONLY MODIFIED THE SPECIFIED RANGES AND NO MORE.
(I have used HxD Hex editor FREE for this since I found that it is easy to replace ranges)
