Firefox 4... How do I restore bookmarks??

Apparently there is no way to import bookmarks into FF4 from the .Json file that FF3 made? Do I need to install FF3 just to get them copied over?

I wasn't expecting this to happen... Maybe I need to use the Sync option?

Re: Firefox 4... How do I restore bookmarks??

go to my computer, put %appdata% in the address bar, then navigate to Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[random letters].default\bookmarkbackups

put the backed up .json in there and you should be good to go..
if there are some other .json's in there already, delete them (or move them somewhere else just in case)

i usually export my firefox bookmarks in HTML form from within firefox. much easier to work with.

Figured it out... The Ctrl+Shift+B shortcut still works, despite the lack of an "organize bookmarks" menu item... Weird!

        Firefox is now SATANIC
        by Hondaman
Now that I have your attention:

In the last few days, it looks like Firefox has changed their software terms so they are now evil and WILL sell your data.

I already use Palemoon for Win7 sometimes. Looks like I'll be switching to librewolf as well, as Youtuber Louis Rossman suggests. Palemoon still supports Win7, but sometimes pages don't work properly. The Google Chrome browser might also still work for Win7.

I will have no choice but to upgrade my Firefox, so that I can copy dozens of tabs into a document or spreadsheet, or go through the history to...

        820-02020 A2338 Restore/Revive Failed
        by iMuhtaseb
A2338 - Pristine condition.. I took out of the board and inspected it.. nothing.. as if the computer is barely used even.

Anyway, customer said they tried erasing/formatting it and it got stuck on Apple logo preventing to go further.. I asked them why they tried to erase it from the first place? They said it turned off randomly once.. then they erased it and it worked out for a few days then it shut off again..

I put the computer in DFU; I downloaded the latest Ventura IPSW and restored it.. during the "Installing.." it restarts then it shows the exclamation...

        A2338 820-02020-A 5V, no screen, unable to revive/restore
        by yheriatovych
Hi. I need some help troubleshooting the issue (which is a bit odd to my limited experience) with the A2338 Macbook.

        Initial symptoms:

One day the laptop refused to wake up (as it seemed at first), spinning the fan on full blast, with no picture on the screen.
Force rebooting didn't help. To check if it boots at all I connected the external display and surprisingly it booted to the system, and I was able to log in to the system.
However, I noticed that it was in some weird state:
        • The fan was still blasting at full speed. It's blasting even when the system

        iMac M1 DFU restore issue
        by Stephen
iMac turns on no drops no cracks, tried to DFU Restore the iMac, logo turns on great! however iMac turns itself off and then restarts to the (!) icon and won't post the restore. Tried thunderbolt 3 cable, tried regular USB C cable and nothing.

this is the message it gives me with the error

Unexpected device state 'DFU' expected 'RestoreOS' (Probably forced into DFU mode externally) [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore – 0xFAE (4014)].

Any thoughts what this could be? I will open it up and repair it but I am not 100% sure since this iMac doesn't...

is it possible restore data from the hdd with removed rom ic?
        by harp
is it possible restore data from the hdd with removed rom ic so, is there any way, theory or practice, to restore or calculate missing data in flashrom ic from actual data stored on disk platers? In other words, is data on disc somehow reachable, recover without original rom firmware, using exactly donor board, special lab hardware, etc?
