166 is enough, i think my CPUs won't go that far, they are the 1.4 gig after all... Just a question, does it have PCI locks? Coz otherwise i can't see how you did 173 with it.

If you mean you have your 1,4gig tualatins, you may use only one and even for that one you need that converter for voltage adjusment. Tualatins work with FSB VTT at 1.25V, Coppers work at 1.5V I reckon and the VP6 is the 1.5V one...it's the AGTL operation that clearly specifies which bus to be used with which CPUs.

PCI bus is not locked and yes, the board works flawlessly because Abit understood only certain hardware MIGHT work with such high value of frequency - approx. 43MHz, thus they did not bother fitting the board with LAN, Audio and stuff (of course BIOS provides the Enable / Disable function, but why to make an OC board more expensive). Everest clearly stated the value to be true, so yes, it is possible to run it still at this level of stress. VIA Vectro USB2.0 / Firewire PCI extention card and Realtek 8139D are used in this system alongside with the AGP 7950GT, which runs OC'd at the AGP bus (86MHz) and is OC'd itself, GPU from 500MHz to 625MHz - no problems.

The AGTL thing wouldn't be a problem, it can be modded. However i'm quite certain my SATA controller will not run at 43MHz PCI, so for now i'll pass. And i need onboard LAN at the very least.

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
          by privato89
          Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

          Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
          by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...

Samsung un82ru88000f - Boot loop sort of but can correct with taping of LVDS ribbon
          by NolesFan
Hello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...

Samsung 55" TV - Boot loop but sometimes works fine - UE55MU6470U
          by torchzack
Hi Team - just joined to see if anyone can offer some expertise in diagnosing an issue with a TV.

I've done a few hours googling and youtubing but just seeing if anyone has any insight here. I got a 55" Samsung UE55MU6470U which seems to boot loop and then after 10 mins will boot, work for a few minutes, then turn off and repeat.

Whilst it's on into the normal Samsung menu/boot screen it looks perfect - so I can't see there being any screen issues. I've seen lots of videos with taping across clock lines to diagnose which particular one may be an issue but i don't...
