Re: Good free ad blocker?
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ In the past I used Ad-Aware SE. With the newest updates it brought my PC to a crawl. I now use the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. With the free version you have to run it manualy but it works just fine and they update their definition files often. I'm using this with Xp home and IE8."It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so."

Re: Good free ad blocker?
I used to use PopupCop back in the day, but I find Firefox's built in blocker mostly sufficient."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

Re: Good free ad blocker?
oh... they must be stupid then... sounds like trying to make a vespa break the speed limit on a freeway... almost imposssible!
kidding, there are adblockers for ie but i would get them on opera, ff, or even chrome/iron before i would sweat ad-block. more secure, faster (except for ff), and more feature-rich.sigpic
