    This is probably a dud the manufacturer failed to pull before packaging. I found one bulging in a bag of fifty CCs I bought a while back. The others were fine, both ESR and capacitance, when I tested them to be sure. See picture.

      Just as long as the others should be reliable. As I said before, I've used them on a few motherboards and I don't want it to come back and bite.

      I had a feeling that it was just a dud as even GSC caps aren't usually bad when brand new.
      I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

      No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

        the panny caps looks real, so as the electrolytic leaking out color

        perhaps this caps sneaked thru QC checks.

            I have some where the month character are numbers. Would a cap that says 64IIOC be:

            2006 - April - Week 2 - whatever? I assume after month 9 they then use the letter of the month?

              Some of my other panny caps have numbers for the month. I would say you are right about using numbers up to 9 and letters after that
