Re: Getting into PLCs
This is some kind of shitty Chinese PLC. Based on everything you have said here on this forum thread and your background my advice to you would be not to waste your time and the customers time. Move on.
Sorry if this sounds blunt.Last edited by MixMasta; 11-24-2018, 11:47 AM.

Re: AT&T sucks
speedtest.net is notorious for falsely low speed tests. I have found speakeasy to have enough bandwidth and a much smaller amount of users, so it works reliably, almost always:
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
If this speakeasy speedtest is still showing your throughput as being way below what you are paying for, and your dsl modem diagnostic webpage isn't showing any obvious issues (like you are using interleave instead of fastpath), you need to visit the AT&T direct forum on dslreports.com and request help. A real...

Re: Wanting to send/receive data over DC power pair
Except this is only one mode. The other mode is phantom power mode, which works with data pairs, and of course supports 1000base-tx which as you surely know uses all the pairs in a cat5 cable. But the reason it works is because Ethernet signals are ac and the power injectors are supplying dc power....

Re: Like I Predicted, SSE4 Crushes AMD
I'll stick with my 8 month old 6 core AMD 1090T for now. CIV 5 as a benchmark is suspect too. There are plenty of benchmarks of the game at Anandtech and other sites that actually show it getting higher frame rates at higher resolutions, which makes no sense. But nods to Intel for raising the ante a bit here. It's nice to see the 4 Ghz barrier broken finally.

Re: Power supply in plasma T.V
Your best bet is to post some good photos to this forum of the board and anything else that looks suspect/interesting.

Those caps that are bad, what is the actual voltage going to them?

Re: Help! Installing WinXp on compaq 6735s reduced Ram to 744
I don't know someone said it had GMA 950 graphics. You want me to look everything up about this damn computer on HP's website first?
In any case, who cares, it's the integrated graphics using the ram. If there really aren't any options to change that in the bios, then you could check for a bios update that might enable an option like that (if he is even willing to install one), or I guess this guy is SOL.Last edited by MixMasta; 12-22-2010, 04:52 PM.

Re: Help! Installing WinXp on compaq 6735s reduced Ram to 744
Yup it's all there then, like NxB says, there should be a way to adjust how much ram your video card will use. Also, found this on intel.com:
IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 Graphics Core
256-bit graphics core running at 400MHz
Up to 10.6 GB/sec memory bandwidth with DDR2 667 system memory
1.6 GPixels/sec and 1.6 GTexels/sec fill rate
Up to 224 MB maximum video memory
2048x1536 at 75 Hz maximum resolution
Dynamic Display Modes for flat-panel, wide-screen...

Re: New Gigabyte motherboard PC won't post
Don't you have a spare power supply? All the symptoms you describe say power supply to me... including Gigabyte supposedly telling you so.

Re: Wireless woes that I have sorted out over the past year.
How are you going to benchmark a router accurately I wonder? I use dd-wrt. All the crap I hear about how slow it is has mostly been fud. Your barebones OpenWRT install that didn't even support broadcom's wireless until about last month is faster than mine? Good for you I guess.

Re: Help! Installing WinXp on compaq 6735s reduced Ram to 744
You at least know how to get into the bios setup when the computer boots right? It should tell you the full amount of ram regardless of how much ram is being dedicated to the onboard graphics (or detected by windows)? Does this number really say something close to 1 gigabyte?

Re: Is UCC KY suitable replacement for UCC KZG in MB?
Oh yeah you are going to install a SMD cap eh? Good luck with that. Look, since you apparently have already had a problem with finding the right caps, why don't you just buy them from this website or the thecapking website and stop wasting your time and overpaying?
