Re: Help identifying this Cap - 630V, 0.047u
BTW 3.6 readings on 20K scale is not = to 3.6 Ohm, 20k scale cannot show 0.0 Ohms resolution, 3.6 on 20K scale = 3600 Ohms.
Are you reading leakage resistance of C5 off the board? How about CAPACITANCE reading?
How about the checking of the MOSFET on the heatsink that I told you to check?
How much experience do you have on testing component, electronics troubleshooting, and meter readings?Last edited by budm; 06-11-2020, 11:35 AM.Never stop learning

my metre cannot measure capacitance for cap C5
Bridge rectifier (DS1) - show reading as show in attachment, looks ok to me.
Let me know your views ?
Please help me identify DS1 from RS -

MOSFET on the heatsink:
<G to S> shows 0.81(charged up)
<D to S> Drops from a negative value to Zero
Please help me identify this Mosfet from RS-https://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/semiconductors/discrete-semiconductors/mosfets/?searchTerm=mosfetComment

this looks like a superior part

the 3pin part with a Mitsubishi logo looks like a fast diode, not a mosfetLast edited by stj; 06-13-2020, 01:38 AM.Comment

I have an MSI 3PA1 monitor on my bench that wont power on. I have tested the 2 (what I believe to be Schottky Diodes) and both are shorted in both directions (a common faulty from what I can see on Google) but I'm not certain what the markings on the Diodes mean so I need some help in identifying which ones to order from Mouser please?
I've done a search for 101C 5100C and all I can find are datasheets for 5100C which say they are 20-100V 5A Schottky Diodes but I'm not 100% sure if this is correct or not and what significance the 101C is.

by omaarI need help identifying this IC and, if possible, the value of the capacitors next to it. It is part of the HDMI circuit of an EVGA RTX 2060 GPU. It suffered a short circuit, leaving the graphics card without video and the TV without image....2 Photos06-06-2025, 07:48 PM
