Re: Pics
But yes, Hitachi is the other one that makes nice CRTs like that. My Hitachi CM814 CRT monitor looks like that inside as well. Absolutely beautiful work with no corners cut.
Does this CRT still work, by the way?
I didn't get much what's going on from the topic title and short description in the first post.Last edited by momaka; 06-12-2018, 10:04 PM.Comment

Re: Pics
Perhaps try turning up the screen (G2) voltage? It might help them work for another few years, before the tube phosphor gets completely worn out.
If not, save the PCBs! I see lots of good components there. Even the caps - as old and tired as they may be - could still get something going with completely trashed cheapo China caps. On that note, I would trust these old caps more than I trust new garbage cheapo caps.Comment

Can someone please direct me to the location of the BIOS? I've attached an image of the motherboard. Would like someone to point out the location or if I do indeed need to pull the motherboard if it's on the other side. Thank you....

by tarikabakHello, one of the vrams of my palit rtx 3060 model graphics card is showing as faulty. I will replace the faulty vram with a new one, but I could not find out the locations of the vrams. Does anyone know the location map such as a0, a1, b0, b1?

My pc updated bios through Windows Update and I was greeted with BLACK SCREEN WITH CPU FAN MAX SPEED. I don't think there is even a screen signal, because it triggers my monitor for a couple seconds and then the monitor turns off. I tried the other outputs as well.
- I tried clearing bios, resetting bios, removed the CMOS battery, removed m.2 ssd, wifi, and ram. Still black screen with CPU fan blasting.
- I tried using the Lenovo BIOS CD and BIOS USB, but neither worked. At least I couldn't get anything to work.
- I could only locate two chips that look like bios chips. Could someone verify this

by cmonkeyA couple of days ago I finally got my hands on a locally sourced Trinitron and after lugging all 175 LBS home I gave it a good cleaning inside and out. The guy said it had been in a shed for 2 years, but the outside wasn't too bad. The inside was another story and while there was no evidence of mouse, it had certainly been kept in a VERY dirty home.
I cleaned it to an acceptable level of grime, at least clean enough to where nothing would heat up from the dust insulation. I then tried it out and it worked!
I'd say I had it on for about 15 minutes or so and then lugged... - Loading...
