Need help to ID for novice

I have two Elite Gate control motherboards that died. The first boards lasted about five years, the company replaced it for free. The second board lasted about the same and the company replaced it again without cost to me. But I saved them both, just in case.
I was going thru my rainy day (When I can't work outside) stock and decided to ID the problem. I just replaced the bad mofset on board #1, and I'll keep the board until I need it.
Board #2 has a SMD burnt, but I'm not sure about its value ID.

I posted some pics of board #1 that shows the same good SMD for ID and a pic of the burnt SMD.

Any Ideas

it looks like an inductor, can you check the resistance across the good one next to it?

Could this inductor cause total failure of the motherboard?

hard to say.
if the power is going through it then the board will lose power.

I would say it is inductor (ferrite bead) too, check the resistance between GND and each end to see if it shows low resistance <100 Ohms. It may have burnt up due to heavy current flowing through it.
