Re: 370 VAC 80/7.5 Flow A/C Cap?
IT was 7.5uf and the replacement is the same voltage and uf.
The old RV was given to him by his father-in-law a few years ago. He has spent hundreds of hours fixing it up to sell it. It's an old Airstream classic.
Like me, he is enjoying the complexities of a RV and it will be near perfect when he finishes it.
I rewired a Holiday Rambler Crown Imperial ten years ago and doubled my money. I was very impressed with that and I learned a lot doing it.
That RV had a gauge for everything. The...

Re: 370 VAC 80/7.5 Flow A/C Cap?
My nephews new CAP came in yesterday and he installed it this evening. He is excited since the A/C came to life and is cooling great again.
His first time to work on an A/C unit and replace a part was successful.
Thanks for help guys.

Re: 370 VAC 80/7.5 Flow A/C Cap?
He ordered a matching CAP. He just had a few questions about the size, looks, and condition of the old CAP.
If the rest of the board is clean enough this might save the old RV's A/C system.
I'm just glad he's interested enough to look inside the system to see a failure and do something about it and not just toss the entire system in the trash and invest in a replacement unit without trying first.

370 VAC 80/7.5 Flow A/C Cap?
My nephew just called me about a A/C bad compressor cap on his motor home.
It two terminal on top without markings like fan, C or Herm, like a thee terminal. It has two red wires on one terminal and two yellow wires on the other terminal.
Does that mean that the cap is non-polarized, can be wired either way?

Re: Identify solder joints Looks bad to me
Board is clean on both sides. I tested all the switches back to the module and got a good short.
I cleaned the circuit board this afternoon and reinstalled it, no change.
None of the windows will roll and down the window lock is off.
The only thing that shows sign of life on the switch pack is the power light comes on when the headlight are on, so there is power to the pack.
I unplugged the C626 plug under the passenger seat several tims to get a good connection and pulled the carpet...

Identify solder joints Looks bad to me
I just took apart the window control switchpack from my 98 SUV.
Two days ago the windows worked fine yesterday none will go down or up. Several solder joints or spots have an orange or gold corrosion on the solder.
Is there anything I can do? Resolder?
This unit cost $385 to replace. I'm 71 and retired and can't spend that much to roll the windows down.
What would do?
Thanks...

Re: Looking for Advice and ID
Today I replaced the L5 smd and the card works again.
The card went dead during a storm. I pulled a like smd off another dvr card and used it on L5.
When I pulled the card I noticed at L5, Pic #10, there was solder only on one post. The smd must have popped off in the storm.

Re: Bad or just glue?
Also, look at the white plugin where the glue stops.
There is a tiny string of glue going to each post. I didn't what to do anything until y'all looked at it. It's hard to see in pic #2.

Re: Bad or just glue?
It's a stand alone 8Ch DVR system box, and no it doesn't come on.
I picked it up at a swap meet to play with.
I was looking over the system and saw this.

Re: Bad or just glue?
There is no code next to the device, and should it be replaced?

Bad or just glue?
This is a spot I found on a dead card.
Is it blown or is it glue?...

Looking for Advice and ID
I have three bad DVR cards. Each one has a different problem. I took three photos of the card area that's different.
I have several bad cards of the same ID to keep spare parts around.
The totally bad card has two SMDs that ID the type of device that look OK.
The other two cards have different isolated problems. One card has camera port 4 bad and the other card has camera 1 port bad. The open location is L5 on one and C28 on the other.
L5 on one card has "000" on the label
Can anyone ID the needed SMD device part...

Re: NEQ2 on SMD Transistor
The 4 resets finally arrived in January from Taiwan. the only place I could find the exact chip.
I replaced the swollen reset but the problem still exist. Following the trouble shooting guide from the factory, the reset is bad or if good, check the Crystal, if that's good replace the main control chip.
I cannot change the main board chip, it's too big.
But today the matching crystals arrived in the mail. After I replace the crystal and the problem still exist I done.
I'll save the boards as spare parts.
I'll post the results...

Re: AisHi?
The AisHi caps don't look bad but I was thinking about saving the package their on for the future if AisHi is a quality brand Cap.
If AisHi is crap it's going in the trash.

AisHi?
I had a bad ballast in a light fixture so I took it apart and found two AisHi 200v, 47uf caps.
This is my first AisHi cap. Are they quality or not?

Re: NEQ2 on SMD Transistor
I finally found the schematic for the Sony monitor and ID'd the device. I found 4 online and they should be here after Christmas. I'll try to post part of the schematic ID....

NEQ2 on SMD Transistor
I'm new to SMD devices. I have recapped several boards with 100% success, but I'm new to the world of SMD.
I was given, meaning I kept it from the trash can, a nice SONY SDM-HS75P 17" flat computer monitor.
It looks like it would have been a top of the line model. It has 1 bad SMD transistor that is leaking and swollen.
It has NEQ2 on the top.
What can you tell me about it?
Thanks

Re: Does this Bridge Rectifier bottom look bad?
found the problem.
There was a short in the wiring to the second motor external wiring.
I replaced the wiring harness and the system works great again.
Thanks for all the help and understanding about the board.
I would like a circuit ID if anyone knows where I can find it for the miracle one board.
ThanksRe: Does this Bridge Rectifier bottom look bad?

Re: Does this Bridge Rectifier bottom look bad?
Redwire,
How did you find so much information about the miracle-one board? Do you have a circuit layout for the board?
I have three Miracle-one bad boards that I've kept since 2000. Each one has a different problem, but I couldn't wait about the gate system since it's used so often
I have look all over the internet and asked several corp locations for information on ID the circuit board. And no help at all. Several things on a board I can change but several item I can't change because I don't have...
